Re: Personal best

Shot a match today and while 3 stages qualified as an excrement cabaret, I hammered the sitting rapid fire stage. 80 shot match so you shoot 2 strings of 10 in rapid fire. Start empty, at the "start", load a mag with 2, fire load a mag with 8, fire. 63 seconds. Its origins are in the std ...

You are not alone.
Funny varget is no bueno, but H4895 is…. Huh. Oh well keep burning it!
I like and use H-4895 as well.
But it doesn’t get as much use as some other powders

Re: SA Heatseeker pistol

Seems to me the path of exploration for this sort of thing would be in the PPC and BR general family of cases, probably with the quicker-burning rifle powders like 4227 to get the speeds up as much as possible in the shorter tubes. The Creedmoors might be advantageous because everybody's too cheap ...

In Short Action cartridges, my two most used powders is H-4350 and Varget.

If you ever go to a sub 16" barrel in 6 Creed, I can give you some good data with both reloads and factory ammo.

Re: SA Heatseeker pistol

One of the milder 6mm offerings would be more interesting to me. But I understand why they went with .308 since they already have the rifle variant in.308. I would be more interested in something maybe not .308 as well. Which is why I was interested in this in the first place. So I could turn my ex...

Re: So I’m not allowed to go out unsupervised anymore…

Truth be told by the time I came home the, "You did what?" was already turned into, "Ok, show me what you got." with a big smile on her face. She likes to go off-road as much, maybe even a hint more, than I do. Especially when my granddaughter is with us. She LOVES going wheelin...

Truthfully, I don't know that many therapists personally.
I am sure there are some who carry or have one handy, but I don't know of any personally.
Well...I do know one guy

Re: Springfield Armory Heatseeker Pistol

I am not disagreeing completely with that... Put a can on that SA pistol ( Without a brace or being SBR'ed ) with a rifle scope, shooting a 168M's...You might want to give yourself some extra room, because it is going to come at you about twice as much as a brake :D  If a pistol uses a rif...

Re: SA Heatseeker pistol

A good brake is so much more effective in reducing recoil than a can, it is not even worth comparing. My XP's started in the 80's-90's at 14", 15" and 15.75" Then I jumped to 18" for awhile. Some of those were dedicated comp rigs. I still have some of those. Then, I started comin...

Re: SA Heatseeker pistol

I have one suppressor that has a brake (The suppressor does cover it up), and I am not noticing an advantage. There is now more offerings, where there is a brake that can be screwed on the front of the can-Those add an advantage of more recoil reduction, but it also will increase noise to the shoote...

Re: Springfield Armory Heatseeker Pistol

If Zee is patient, he may find one on the used market as well. The brake doesn't look to be much, and a 308 lightweight rig with a brace will not be as enjoyable in the recoil department as some will expect. Looking forward to seeing the street price. I will not pick one up, as I am slowly moving s...
