Oh la la......a French double

Yeah .... I know nothing about it yet.

It was another from the estate collection that was affordable.
I'd have to guess undervalued judging from everything else he had.

Engraving isn't my cup of tea but thinking it was costly.
Basically this was a roll of the dice.

The last two were from an estate.
I bought the two cheap ones.
The XE was 640 OTD....yeah I was buying.

Some real cool stuff from varied maker's
I don't know anything about this one but guessed it wasn't just a dog.

Those are grape leaves and grapes engraved on it…. My guess is it once belonged to a vintner…..

I kind of thought grape leaves also.
Being from France seemed semi normal maybe.

When the markings they stamped on the INSIDE are crisper than what is currently being stamped on the OUTSIDE. . .

Not the most stellar wood fitment we've seen you acquire, but still, That'll do, Pig. That'll do.

May have been made by a firm called Bretton. They may still be in business as Bretton-Gaucher. I'll post something about a Bretton shotgun that I own. A lot different to yours as you will see.

That is 100% correct! I’ve bought a LOT of guns that never made it to the floor because the owner was my friend and gave me family pricing. Some were even gifted to me for various reasons.
