Exactly.

Re: Dedicated Meme Thread
I should probably choose to live one of my favorite sayings “just because you can doesn’t mean you should”. Preface as well not a religious post, being a decent person post.
But I don’t get the hate of the Jesus commercials. It was an attempt at a positive message. Even if you don’t believe or agree with Christianity. I think we can all agree we need a little more live and let live. Be kind and when you see an opportunity to help, take it. In the world we live in today and the constant bombardment of division I see nothing wrong with a commercial trying to get us to be a little kinder. I never saw on there that you had to accept the views of others not even a little, but you don’t need to go out of your way to be a jerk either. If they need help, help them, helping someone isn’t saying I agree with or accept their choices it’s just being a good person. But then again maybe as a society we are so far gone instead of seeing something as an effort for good we just feel the need to mock it.

Re: Dedicated Meme Thread
As usual, I had to google the memes because I avoid the news and what the talking heads tell me that I should be mad about today. What i found....
As usual, religion divides as much as it beings together. Some hate because they didnt like the message and dont think religion should be on TV. Some hate because its not THEIR flavor of religion.
Some, like me, dont give two **** either way. I support their right to pay for their ad time. Just like I would support the right of any group to pay for ad time. Because they paid for the ad time. I also support people who are making fun of the ads. And I support those that say "really? there is not ONE thing you could have thought to do that would help humanity with that kind of money?"
Place my check mark in that box, please.
You know, a ONE HUNDRED MILLION DOLLAR MEDIA INVESTMENT.
“He Gets Us,” a campaign to promote Jesus and Christianity, is running two ads during the game as part of a staggering $100 million media investment. To many, the spots will be nothing new: “He Gets Us” content has been peppering TV screens, billboards and social media feeds since a national launch in 2022.
But....not my pig, not my farm.

Re: Dedicated Meme Thread
Won’t get into the religious discussion, but from what I have seen, it is the misrepresentation of what the washing of feet meant in the scripture. It was not a symbol to accept everyone with their sin- it was a symbol to leave that sin behind- wash the path you have trod behind and come forward without that past staining your feet anymore.
But anyway. Thought the memes were funny
