Got my wife a card at the dollar store. Spent a dollar more than I wanted to, but it saved a tiny bit of bitching.

Fairly early in the relationship, my wife and I were watching TV and a Valentines Day jewelry commercial came on. Without any kind of prompting, she simply said, "If you ever bring me home something like that, I'm kicking your ass".

Then and there, I knew I had a keeper.

Well...... The plan was to make her dinner. Filet Mignon, mushroom risotto, and chocolate cake. Turns out yesterday was also Ash Wednesday. AlEven though she hasn't been in a church in 25 years, she still does Lent. Will make tonight.

It's just her and I living here. The cake was uncut when she went to work but SOMEONE ate a piece for breakfast! I can't figure it out, so it will just remain a mystery..
