Neat idea but it’s not expensive to execute. Used handgun, install a new barrel and stock and adapt existing off the shelf AR accessories. You could probably do this in a weekend.

If you use a brace instead of a stock don’t need to go 16” on barrel…. 10” would be mighty handy as a “camp gun” and since it’s still a handgun there is no issue about carrying loaded inside a vehicle.

I didn't see any thing to protect the forward arm of the shooter from any gas or particles from the cylinder gap.

That has been an issue since the cap and ball versions of this concept in the mid 1800s.

I used to own a Uberti version of the revolving carbine in 44-40 and it definitely is an issue. I purposefully wore a long sleeve white shirt while firing it a couple of time with my left hand forward just to see. Didn't feel any burn or anything but there was powder residue evident on my sleeve.

It's a modified Alfa Proj revolver out of the Czech Republic, which is imported into the USA by Rock Island/Armscor as their AL Series of revolvers. A .357 from them sells for $799 to $869, depending on which model you get. Then, being built in Austria with associated tariffs, I'm sure that increases the price over something domestic.

Yeah but you could duplicate the concept with the Model 10 frame bullsi bought a few years back for $150 because it had no barrel

This is one concept where the location of Dan Wesson's cylinder release could be advantageous. . .maybe. I'd have to handle one to see if I'd reload it like a normal revolver or not.

Also thinking half-moon clips would be a serious asset. Needs an extractor rod long enough to kick a fired case, but not an unfired round. . .

My first instinct is that this is a poor substitute for a lever gun, but if one were to SBR the lever gun, you reduce the tube magazine's capacity to where there would be little, if any, difference in capacity. I've been bitching that lever actions need to move their loading port to the left side for a while to be more compatible with modern "fightin' gun" practices, but this is potentially a faster reload, if somewhat more awkward for topping off.
