Crazy, 60° in the valley and I’m here in less than an hour.
Then headed to the “range”. No formal targets today, just shooting stuff that was there. There’s a bunch of 5 gal buckets all over this hillside and all sorts of other miscellaneous stuff to shoot of varied sizes. It’s a little bit of a dump but it’s pretty localized.
Today was old school day. The Indy Jones tribute S&W 1917 with a whole can of 45acp in clips made me giggle for a long while. Amazing how well that old gun shoots even at distances that it shouldn’t.
The SxS Ithaca Lewis made a bucket about 30 or so paces away dance for a while. Looked like a colander when we got done with it. Gun just points where I look and both barrels soot to same POA sooo, happy
I also shot the 1876 Centennial rearranging stuff all over the hillside with 350gr Berry’s plated bullets and a new 300 Hornady Interlock HP round I’m working on. Shot at an oak pallet on the heavy lumber side and damn, you’d thought it was struck by dynamite. I think it’ll work for hunting
The pretty 1873 in .45 Colt was there too so I blew through a few boxes of .45Colt ammo just grinning through it. Both lever actions are in cases in the pictures.
All in all a good afternoon
