Will Biden run, or be replaced?
Will Biden run, or be replaced?
I'm thinking he will be replaced

Re: Will Biden run, or be replaced?
If he doesn’t get replaced and wins, he’ll get replaced after he’s elected . I honestly don’t think he can make it that much longer, certainly not another 4 years.

Prepare for a Hillary/Harris ticket.

Got beaten by Trump already with no reduction in her previous baggage since, plus a VP choice even less popular than Biden?
This is generally the problem with replacing Biden, and was the problem four years ago: The party hack that plainly wasn't real bright 30 years BEFORE he went senile was and is the most broadly appealing choice the Dems can put forward. They are truly caught between a rock and a soft head.

I agree in principle but also realize Dims have no principles. Their wheels are in motion just as they were for Obiden.Bigslug wrote: ↑Thu Jul 11, 2024 3:13 amGot beaten by Trump already with no reduction in her previous baggage since, plus a VP choice even less popular than Biden?

It has nothing to do with principles. It has to do with not running an un-electable ticket.FJB wrote: ↑Thu Jul 11, 2024 2:34 pmI agree in principle but also realize Dims have no principles. But Im all for hearing a conspiracy, maybe they will run a Hillary Clinton Michelle Obama ticket and find a way to get their husbands back in office.

Re: Will Biden run, or be replaced?
Both.
He can’t be replaced on several key state ballots at this point. So, he will be the one to run against Trump in November.
BUT- they will replace “Cackles” Harris on the ticket, and everyone will understand that the VP pick will be the president in very short order

Newsome, Michelle maybe?

Does it make a difference on state ballots if the VP is replaced on the ballot?

Re: Will Biden run, or be replaced?
Obama just OK’d that asswipe huge Democrat donor, George Clooney, to let the NYT publish his editorial hit piece on why Biden needs to step aside. It’s now officially a coup…
My money is on Newsom but Obama's tranny wife is a dark horse that has been WAY too quiet and could do exactly what Joe did to win. Come out of the closet at the last minute and have zero time to fudge up before the election giving all the Democrat fan boys and all the TDS sufferers a viable option…

She could barely stay standing up during her last campaign. They have video of her SS guys basically carrying her back to her car. I don’t know that the party will risk another candidate constantly doing a Humpty Dumpty down stairs every other day…

I honestly wish both parties would dissolve and an independent or new party would win. At this stage, I'd rather give almost anything else a shot. Being afraid of change is what's put us where we are.

We don't need new parties, we need Party reform and a cleanup of the party platform so we can get rid of dinosaur issues that only allow the other party to make hay out of nothing...

Since Trump has not declared a running mate, I don’t think that’s an issue

Watching him now talking about supporting vice president Trump. Like the other guy or not, this one is unfit for office
Re: Will Biden run, or be replaced?
According to “Not The Bee”, on Twitter, Biden just introduced Zelensky as Putin.
Re: Will Biden run, or be replaced?
AP is reporting that as well

Not in your lifetime. Possibly towards the end of mine. Gen X is growing more and more tired of peoples poop.
There’s too many “but but but the world will end if the democrats win!” Terrified to sit out an election or write in Mickey Moose when they get served the exact same turd sammich year after year because the turd sammich knows if all else fails they are “at least not a democrat” and the votes are all but guaranteed.

Why? Because even if "THEIR" party ran a yellow dog, they'd vote for it

Well, that press conference was a cluster. BUT… I think Biden did well enough to stay in the race. Which is good news for trump

As CPJ correctly says, their trick is to not put forth an un-electable ticket. The rise of Donald Trump was brought about by a whole lot of the country being very sick of the very same people, their carbon copies, or their issues which are being proposed right now. That level of disgust still exists and has probably grown. They may be able to activate their far left base by running on Gay/Black/Female/Married to Past DNC Messiah, but that's become pretty obvious and is wearing pretty thin to folks who have come to understand there's an actual country to be run. Those candidates will of course run on their old "Donald Trump is a Witch!" mantra. . .because they don't seem to have much else.
In the last couple election cycles, the Democrats and Republicans both started out with a large field who contained a couple of "boring" guys who mostly sounded like they had actually read the Constitution, been to a couple of government and economics classes in school, and actually had a business plan for the nation. Nope. Not sparkly enough. Instead we get Biden and Trump.

Re: Will Biden run, or be replaced?
Well said Slug.
I was supporting one of those "boring" ones you speak of, in the primaries. Unfortunately, they'd already dropped out by the time of our primaries.
I didn't even waste my time going to vote, and guess what? 1) the world didn't end and 2) I'll have the same choices on the ballot, come November 5th

Re: Will Biden run, or be replaced?
Most people like their congressman/senator. It’s everyone else’s congressman/senator that they want to get rid of. That’s one reason why there hasn’t been a bigger push for term limits.
I have gotten to the point where I want ALL of them out, even my own, seniority be damned. I actually voted for the opponent in the Republican primary earlier this year. It’s beginning to look like more people are starting to have the same opinion.
