Unfortunately, it appears that a vast majority of people don't care, as long as it's not "the other guy"
It appeas we have 3 basic groups in this country now, The ABT (anyone but Trump); The ABB (anyone but Biden); and the SUE (Someone under 80)
No there is a fourth group.

The ones that can clearly and objectively look at the 4 years under a Trump Presidency and make an easy decision that my life was much better with him as a President because inflation was manageable, illegal immigration was getting under control, Foreign leaders were paying attention, my 401K was growing, the country was energy independent, my kids in the military were taken care of, my wife's uncle in a VA Hospital was getting great care... I could be here all day counting positives. And under Biden it has all gone to SHlT and I can't think of ONE positive thing he's done for me or the country... and this group doesn't care about stupid stuff like bumpstocks, mean tweets or the fact that he paid Hillary to come to his wedding.
I have democratic friends who only watch CNN, ABC, CBS and NBC, and take every word they say as gospel. They have no idea what's going on, much less what facts are. They vote the democratic ticket across the board every election, mostly because their parents did, and are completely close-minded to hearing any other views on anything. They are the ones who need to have their eyes opened...
That was my Father-In-Law. HIGHLY successful man that retired VERY comfortably, but he belonged to the Iron Workers Union all his life and his ONE issue was Republicans are anti-union because that's all he heard his whole life. He voted straight Democrat in every election until the Trump Election.

I asked him if he trusted me and I told him I respected him dearly, and we spoke about every issue he brought up for about 4 hours. I then drove him to get re-registered for the primary as a Republican and he voted for Trump that year. It was the last time he voted in an election and I refuse to throw out his Trump sign he posted on his front lawn that year, it's in my garage with other mementos I have of him like a cable segment off the original Brooklyn bridge re-build and a wall plaque that came off the wall of the NAVY Yard in Brooklyn conversion to a Co-Gen Electric plant, both projects that he ran in as a Iron Worker top supervisor.

He would have had a heart attack yesterday if he had seen the President of the Teamsters speak on the opening day of the Republican Convention this year telling everyone that Trump is his guy. I listened to the guy for his whole speech...

The sky is always falling, with both sides. The same people that screamed about how their gay friends would get thrown in re education camps and women would be jailed for miscarriages if Trump was elected the first time are now screaming about Project 2025. And the Republicans are screaming about how THIS is THE election and the world will burn if Trump doesn't win.

It's the same old shìt over and over again. It's one of the reasons I've deviated from religion. Been hearing about how the rapture is any day now. Hell, my brother didn't start a 401k because he wouldn't need it. That's working out so well for him.

Fear mongering gets old and people need to realize this has been going on since the government was established. It just seems "more real" now because you carry the news around in your pocket which allows you to ponder on the bad even more.
I wholeheartedly wish we could start over from scratch. The Republicans are only good for playing defense. Look how much they passed when they had the majority. That should tell you all you need to know yet people keep voting "their side" because that's what daddy and grandaddy did.

Unless Biden has a video of a heard of donkeys doing a train on Trump, while he is snorting coke from a tranny's crack, Trump is winning this election at this point. Even that might not matter now.

Oh I’m sure! Yep the guy was introduced by saying a Teamster has not spoken in a Republican Convention in 40 years and I believe he’s the first President of the Union ever to speak. He did say The Republican Party and him still disagree on some points but he also said they were the only ones willing to work with them in a respectful manner. I believe puddin’ brain’s head must have exploded when the guy spoke.

Regarding SCOTUS pocks, the Republicans and Democrats learned their lesson after John Robert's. Any judicial pick is already supremely vetted by internal and external advisersso there are no more surprises.

Only questions are what sex, skin color, and hair color do you want.

Well said Wambli. I couldn't agree more.
I think those of us in that 4th group tend to be what used to be considered fairly mainstream and thus don't "stand out" as we quietly go about our business. I've never heard a pundit even acknowledge the 4th group exists. I'm pretty sure, in their world, anyone who voted for DT is an extreme MAGA threat to democracy.
I think engaging the TDS folks here would be about as productive as trying to get Zorba to try a smart phone. Ain't gonna happen.
Whenever I see TDS in action, even here, I think of one of BIlly Joel's best songs, Angry Young Man.
If you hate DT and feel compelled to constantly tell others about it, DO NOT listen to that song because you will find out how a lot of people see you and why we chuckle at your TDS.

Screw it. This is what I see when TDS rears its head. (Also why i chuckle at them.)

There's a place in the world for the angry young man
With his working class ties and his radical plans
He refuses to bend, he refuses to crawl
and he's always at home with his back to the wall.
He's proud of the scars and the battles he's lost
He struggles and bleeds as he hangs on the cross
And he likes to be known as the angry young man.

Give a moment or two to the angry young man
With his foot in his mouth and his heart in his hand
He's been stabbed in the back, he's been misunderstood
It's a comfort to know his intentions are good
He sits in a room with a lock on the door
with his maps and his medals laid out of the floor
And he likes to be known as the angry young man.

I believe I've passed the age of consciousness and righteous rage,
I've found that just surviving was a noble fight
I once believed in causes too, had my pointless point of view
Life went on no matter who was wrong or right.

And there's always a place for the angry young man
With his fist in the air and his head in the sand
He's never been able to learn from mistakes
He can't understand why his heart always breaks
His honor is pure, and his courage as well
he's fair and he's true, and he's boring as hell
And he'll go to his grave as an angry old man.

There's a place in the world for the angry young man
With his working class ties and his radical plans
He refuses to bend, he refuses to crawl
and he's always at home with his back to the wall.
He's proud of the scars and the battles he's lost
He struggles and bleeds as he hangs on the cross
And he likes to be known as the angry young man

Here’s the thing that doesn’t sink in with some here.

I don’t give two **** who people support. What I find laughable is the way they worship them. “He’s gonna build a wall! He’s gonna stop illegals! He’s gonna blah blah blah!”

That’s not limited to Trump. That’s ANY politician.

Angry? HA! I find it all funny as hell.

Remember Ron Paul?"He's the only one who can save the nation!:

I have as much faith in DJT fixing things ad I do Joe Biden, or to step back, George HW Bush. Reagan? He didn't do it by himself. Because the system isn't supposed to work that way. We elect a president, not a king.

I think the term TDS is being used a little loosely here. Wanting actual change in government isn't TDS. The psychos that dedicate their Facebook pages to nothing but posting memes of hating Trump and liberal MSM talking points are TDS. Not understanding why some people see him as a savior is not TDS.

The once and future king.

Orange man won't fix a thing. In four years when we are over 45 trillion in debt all we'll hear is about how it would have been worse with the other guy and we won't survive the new guy so hold your nose blah blah blah.

“20 minutes passed between the time U.S. Secret Service snipers first spotted the gunman on a rooftop and the time shots were fired at the former president, according to several law enforcement officials and lawmakers briefed on the matter.”

I’ll Monday morning quarter back this based on zero law enforcement experience.

Someone should be fired. Many someone’s.

You see a dude on a roof during a rally and your IMMEDIATE reaction isn’t to see what homeboys doing up on the roof? Really?

There’s a LOT of dumb going around. Like almost too much to be believable.
