You figure to scope it like a brush gun? You have stuff to address neighboring ZIP codes covered.
On hand. A 5.5x ACOG until I get a 1-6x Vortex Viper.

$1500 and it's only halfway to a really cool rifle? As far as pedestrian, we like what we like and walnut and blued steel will always be my preference.
That's not to say I would never consider something like the Cross but adding a few more $ I get another Sharps. No brainer to me.
This is a tool. Not for looking at. I like nice wood and blued metal. I have some. Just find that, when it’s time to work……..I grab my tools.
Oh I get that. Your various endeavors require tools whereas my pursuits are 100% recreational. The Sig is one of the few of that style I've actually liked so maybe, someday.
Don’t get me wrong, I love the same thing you are in to. I just know I wouldn’t do much with them and that’s a shame.
I am hoping to use the Winchester Model 88 on a nice buck this season. That will make the hunt more special to me.

Out of the box, the trigger averaged 1lb 14oz!
It’s adjustable but doesn’t come with directions. So, I’m going to call Sig.

I already do.
I have 3 personal 6.5 CMs and I still don’t like the cartridge!! But, Free99!!
I’ve never bought ammo for them.

Yeah, changed my mind. Went for versatility. Took the scope off my .338 WM since I likely won’t use it for anything except an elk hunt. And I can always transfer a scope for that.

You can flip it either way. Not my favorite level. I prefer the Vortex Scope Level.

Im not a huge fan of it as it doesnt do anything special that wasnt already doable with existing cartridges, but it sure has marketing behind it. Cant argue with free ammo though.

That looks fun. When will you get to shoot it?

It’s a .260 clone.
That….allows long bullets to fit in an AICS mag. If that’s not important, then the .260 wins.
But, AICS mags are cool.

Since it's a Sig.... will it go off when dropped? Or explode?

Since AICS mags and factory ammo are a factor for me, 6.5 CM wins in a landslide over .260 for my desires.

Maybe it is just slick marketing, but economies of scale are a selling point. Also, why does Remington suck at marketing? What cartridges have been a success for them outside of the .22-250, .223, and 7mm Rem Mag?

No, but it would go off if you hit the bolt wrong. Seriously there was a recall.

Mine was made in April this year. Called Sig. Said mine was clear of the recall.

Hell, I shoot my high powered scope on 4x at 1,600 yards!! So I can see the 25 mils of the H59 reticle. Done that for years! I don’t like to dial some and hold some.

Well let’s just shoot this one at 100 to start.
