There's nothing wrong with budget AR stuff. Besides my form 1 can, my pistol build probably doesn't have $300 in it and does what all the high dollar milspec guns do.

I picked up a simple PSA lightweight rifle and slapped a Vortex 3x prism on top. Probably less than $600 total in the package.

Its my favorite beater rifle now.

I love budget builds that work

'Garbage Tier" - I like it.

One of the lessons of WWI was that you could count on X-percent of your troops getting blown up before they even saw the front line. . .

In the early days of WWII, we had to count on X-percent of our equipment being sunk by U-boats while making the Atlantic crossing. . .

Yes, it has to work if and when it gets where it's going, but there's a certain grim math in dialing back the old world gunsmithing and Grade A heat treatments. There's a place for such things.
WWJMBD?

I believe we should stand on Ceremony. . . while our friends handcuff the sanctimonious little prick and take him away.

Well I did it again. Putting together a AR lower, I managed to send another takedown detent and spring into low earth orbit even using a clevis pin.
I think the last time it cracked a window on The Space Station.
Luckily still have a spare from the OOPS kit last time I did it.

American Tactical stripper lower and CMMG lower parts kit.
Will probably have a TriggeTech 2 stage duty trigger
Magpul MOE-K2+ Grip
Stock not decided yet, but will probably be fixed

Thank you. That's an 80% lower. Here's my rifle, also an 80% that I did years ago. I put a heavy barrel and adjustable gas block on it today. I'd like to find some subsonic 223/556 but apparently it's unobtainium. Would be fun to shoot in the backyard in city limits 😁
