Well, that's an interesting revolver, I guess
Charter Arms has a new 5 shot revolver. The Coyote.
It's in .380 ACP.
That... that's an idea....

I can only imagine they're going after the foreign markets where you can't own anything in a "military" caliber, and the small-ish autoloaders that would be 9mm here would be .380 there. On the U.S. market, however, those same 9mm guns seem to be causing the .380 to largely rot on the vine.
Two rounds of the stuff was perfectly adequate to start WW1. It ought to do.

Yeah and the Mossad uses .22s for assassinations.
If you're using a 9mm revolver with moon clip, what's to stop you from using .380? They're the same sized critter...

I have a couple .380acp's. A Kel Tec P3AT and more recently a SW BG 2.0. Both pocket guns. I am not Military anymore, not LEO, just a guy with a few years behind him. If there was riots in the street or a war going on, but for running to Publix or to then mailbox i feel very comfortable with either. Out and about or traveling i have the P365 or another 9mm or .40sw

Oh, I believe .380 has its place. But to me, carrying a .48 Special/9mm-sized .380 in the states is like carrying a Glock 42... unless you can't handle the recoil, why not use the more capable cartridge in an identical-sized platform.
I do like that they ported the revolver.

I have a friend that has one of the charter revolvers in .40s&w. But he has standardized on all his handguns in either .22LR or .40s&w.
That’s the only reason I could see for having a .380 revolver… and I LIKE weird guns.

Obviously not in 380, but it worked for David Berkowitz

Worst byte I ever saw in my life was done by a freaking Chihuahua that bit my buddy on the top of his foot and sent him to the ER for 20+ stitches. Little poop literally ripped his skin open. Freaking blood EVERYWHERE, looked like a murder scene!Elk Creek wrote: ↑Wed Dec 24, 2025 1:14 amChihuahuas are feisty, but still bite!GrapeApe wrote: ↑Wed Dec 24, 2025 12:52 amFrom your link...Elk Creek wrote: ↑Tue Dec 23, 2025 8:12 pm

How’s that old saying go…. Not the size of the dog in the fight, it’s the size of the fight in the dog.
Re: Well, that's an interesting revolver, I guess
For the .380, you would NEED the moon clip, where a dedicated chamber would headspace the cartridge on the case mouth. Your ejection would then depend on either clean chambers and non-sticky brass or having a pokey tool. . .or just manufacturing a loading gate style revolver with a fixed ejector rod and a similar spec chamber.breamfisher wrote: ↑Tue Dec 23, 2025 2:07 pm Yeah and the Mossad uses .22s for assassinations.

As to the chihuahuas. . .my father's theory is that every dog gets issued the same amount of evil. In the smaller dogs, that evil is much more concentrated. And really. . .you got the soul of a timber wolf in the body of a chihuahua - you SHOULD be pissed off at the world.

Yeah, my buddy’s .40s&w one and my brother’s .45ACP Charters have that moonclip-less system, and it does seem to work pretty wellJustsomedude wrote: ↑Wed Dec 24, 2025 6:46 pmI've seen these before.
