For the guy who lives at 1266, WALKING will kill me. Ask shotgunshooter about our hike in Utah. 🤣
Try it from under 400'
Just DRIVING through Roosevelt Tunnel/Loveland Pass sux. (And the LONG steep grade afterwards wasn't any fun either during my long haul days)

It’s not a matter of weight ratios… 🤣
Suppose they carried it together?

Stop buying .22LR rifles and handguns.

Wait, just saw a Tikka I might have to have...

I'm glad we only had to carry the rock out
Hey since you guys carried the rock you didn’t have to drag a body 😎

To have a accurate 22lr bolt gun. I have a Savage MK II that might be. Haven't shot it yet. That's it, cause I ain't giving anything up.

Only accurate rifles are interesting!

I held off on the Tikka .22LR sticking to my resolution. However, I did just order a CZ 457...

I bet the Savage is accurate. I have one that was my dedicated 25 yard squirrel gun for years. One shot groups at that range with subsonic ammo.

Not really a resolution kind of guy, but I did finally proactively take action on a few things that should be falling in place this year:

- Take physical therapy more serious for some nagging aches and pains that are affecting my QOL
- Pull the trigger on a highly frivolous luxury purchase
- Promote at the current job and/or move to another company in the same industry
- Ramp up personal/leisure travel
- Make A Class in USPSA

She didn't mean it the way ol' Winston did.

I spent last year getting divorced, selling the family home and nearly losing a parent to a stroke, then dealing with the health needs stemming from that.

I'm more a case of "please, don't let it be worse than 2025".

So far it's not been a great start

Only major goals are to do some overseas travel, even if just to see family in Australia.
Buying a house, or a block of land if the right one turns up, and not second guessing myself on it is also on the list.

Losing weight. Although some may consider it cheating, I started on a GLP1 and it's been fantastic. It's seriously stifled my appetite and I'm down from 254 to 236 and it's been fantastic to see the decrease every night. Probably an unhealthy solution but it beats struggling to put my socks on in the morning.

Read a new report this morning and also watched a news report on GLP1, GLP2s and the upcoming GLP3s. The health benefits of these drugs are AMAZING!!! The doctor that was giving the report (top medical guy for Fox News) says that even though they started out as a fix for Diabetes when you go to a Cardiologist convention nowadays you won't recognize anyone because they are ALL in shape and have put themselves on GLP1s nowadays.

My wife's personal experience is beyond great. Quite a few moons ago after years of unsuccessful battling weight issues her doctor told her about insulin resistance and diagnosed her as pre-diabetic since her A1C was over the "normal" level and nearly impossible to keep under control. He put her on Ozempic when it was a pretty early deal. Since then she got down to the weight she was when I met her (and has stayed there for years now), she is in size Small clothing, she's in the best shape of her life, and has adopted healthy eating habits. She got rid of 3 types of medication she was on while at it and her bloodwork is exceptional.

These drugs are not "new". They have been under development and studies for well over a decade with hundreds of thousands (if not millions now) of examples of success. They are just "newly discovered" by the masses.

***Barring a medical condition***, the reason people are fat is that they consume more calories than they burn in a day. It’s simple math. Consume less calories than you burn, you lose weight. Consume the same amount you burn, you stay steady. Consume more than you burn, you gain weight.

It’s FAR easier to consume more than you burn. A large Starbucks foo foo coffee drink is north of 600 calories. That’s damn near a third of what most peoples caloric requirements are. Add in a donut, some pizza, pasta, etc, and all of the sudden you’re a fatass.

ALL you have to do is consume less calories than you burn to lose weight. Does that mean you have to run three miles a day? No. It means you have to consume less calories than you burn. Running just adds to…what you burned. So you could eat more if you ran three miles.
It’s really that simple. It’s the mental game that people struggle with. They make it out to be complicated. But it’s not. It’s only a matter of beating the mental game. That’s what’s tough. Been there, done that, currently doing that. I lost 35, but gained 10 back. Why? Because I started eating like a retard again. Why did I do that? I’m retarded. Between deer season and the holidays I used that as an excuse to pig out. Now it’s essentially back to square one with the mental game.
