Cool old books…

Post by Wambli Ska »

Unpacking boxes I have not seen in years is fun. Here’s a few books I forgot I owned. Lots of history in these! Also a lot of drooling on my part…

OH...those are too cool, I won't leave my chair for a long time!
Nice choice of pages with the S&W.

This weekend I'm taking a break from opening boxes and will spend some time fireside with a tumbler of Bourbon exploring these and others I found. I also found a reprint of the old Bannerman catalog. When I lived in New York and commuted into the city I used to ride the train past what's left of his castle on his island on the Hudson River. They say he used Civil War era Springfield actions as re-bar in the concrete because they had barrels full of them that were nearly worthless at the time. God, what would I give to be able to go back to the 1920's with a pile of gold to buy him out...

On the above two things of note, on the S&W ad it talks about the 32-44 that is mentioned on another thread and also about the Russian revolvers having adjustable sights available. I've never seen one of those. And second, what the hell is a .22 Ex. Long C.F.?????? Never heard of that one.

Hell I thought I was cool refurbishing a Flobert and 19111 Scout! I wish I had your reading material. I do have the entire Foxfire collection.

It is a neat book. It’s the 3rd addition.

I have a pile of old reloading manuals. Sako asked for some 25-20 load data, I sent about a dozen pictures of different data. Love all that old data….

I’m about halfway through boxes I have not opened in years. It’s one rolling Christmas 😁
