Bubble level
Bubble level
I think there was a recent thread, perhaps on the old site, regarding bubble levels.
I've got a couple that work fine, including Sinclair. And I've recently bought one that I wouldn't wish on anyone due to its mounting method and inability to remain where you put it - Arken.
So, what's the consensus on a good bubble level that doesn't break the bank? Left handed rifle shooter if that matters.

Re: Bubble level

This one was just delivered.
Will install it and hopefully shoot with it over the weekend.
It came well recommended

Re: Bubble level
That’s my typical go to level. The installment is easier than most and it’s big and easy to see.

Re: Bubble level
I posted my solution on the old forum; a Level-Right Pro. Here it is again for those who forgot. It doesn't get any better than this, and it's not expensive.

Re: Bubble level
I've had one of those on my bolt action .223 for a few years and it's rock solid. Easy to mount, easy to see, durable, and inexpensive. I'm going to get another for one of my bolt .308's. You won't be disappointed.
Re: Bubble level
I've had several bubble levels over the years on different scopes. The only one that I threw away was the Vortex. It was a total POS. The bubble would not stay whole, it would form 2 or 3 different ones of varying sizes all attached together. I've used Holland on 30mm scopes and the one from Tubb on 34mm. I am now experimenting with the Wheeler version attached to the Pic rail of my match rifle, because I refuse to mar the beautiful finish of my lastest scope, the Majesat.
Re: Bubble level
I’ve used the Holland and like it. Just expensive. I’ve not had your issue with the Vortex.
Maybe it didn’t like you? Understandable.
Varget doesn’t like me. Understandable.

Re: Bubble level
Not sure why Varget is mentioned here;I use VV N-150. And the Vortex level is still a POS.

Re: Bubble level
Because Varget doesn’t like me. And I take it personal.

Re: Bubble level
I see.
I was going to ask that you show us on the doll where Varget hurt you but decided not to ask.
I used Varget for many years in my competition loads but in the last few years, it became unavailable. When I started my last 8 pounder, this mean I only had enough for about 1300 rounds and no prospects of it ever showing up and in bulk quantities. I opted for VV N-150, which I am able to buy in proper quantities. N-150 has really worked out well for me and even if Varget were to become available, I would not switch back to it.

I’ll show you. Just let me blow it up first.

I like Varget. And my new Vortex level works just fine.

Re: Bubble level
How many forums are there that you could search for a level and a blow up doll and they would be in the same thread?

CPJ it wouldn't surprise many people that you would be the expert on dolls on this forum.

I bought that Vortex level 7 years ago on Zee's recommendations and have never had a lick of trouble with it. I even hunted around the Internet to see if anyone else on the planet had the same problem that you had and you probably know the answer. Maybe it wasn't expensive enough and as your body rejected it, the bubble became exasperated.

I bought the Vortex Optics Bubble level in December of 2014, almost 9 years ago. It was the most expensive one I had bought at that time at $39.00 from Amazon. I had been using the B-Square model for $18 up to that point. My newest model is a Wheeler which cost $40 or some such.
I also realize your Search-Fu is subpar, as it tokk me about 10 seconds to find a report of someone having the same issue as I reported with the bubble on Amazon. I like to read the one and two star reviews of products I'm considering purchasing to see when can go wrong.
