Fun gun.....right home.

Shooting real rifle rounds instead of the watered down rifle/pistol stuff I find far more enjoyable.

It is obscure
Many would say the 45-70 is as well

YOUR MISSION, SHOULD YOU CHOOSE TO ACCEPT IT. . .

Apparently, the Ubertis make use of a "fly" that may have been present in the original .22 Short "Winder Musket" version of the 1885. That's the gizmo that keeps the gun from resetting to full cock when the action is closed. Unfortunately, none of the people mentioning this have been able to point me to a schematic or demo what they're talking about, but it's possible the problem can be rectified.

If you decide to go exploring and figure this out, PLEASE fill us in. That particular feature of the Ubertis was an absolute deal breaker for me when I tried to order one in .357. Really appealing rifles otherwise.

Obscure? It’s bees around longer than most of the new fangled cartridges you shoot. I wonder where the 6 arc will be in 130 years…🤣
Yes. It’s obscure. Look over your cup of Koolaid. And that’s perfectly fine!!! Keep it alive!! On life support. I’m cool with that. Just not my rabbit hole.
What will be alive in 30 yrs? Hell, I’ll be dead by then. Don’t care. I’ll shoot what’s available until then. 😎

Uberti makes fine rifles! .32-20 is one of my favorites, probably why I have three rifles and two pistols in .32-20!

This makes 2 rifles and 2 revolvers… the other is a Marlin 1894 classic and 2 Uberti single actions a 4 5/8’s and a 7 1/2. The other one.

That is gorgeous. Very nice score!

I have been intrigued by the 32-20, just not enough to get one
