One of my grails!!
One of my grails!!
Well today I brought home one of my grail guns! I found this 77-22 in 22lr at my local shop for under 600!! It had the wrong rings on it so the previous owner probably never got it it sight in. Dang I’m stoked about this one! The bushnell is gone and a 4.5-14 Burris is on it now!

Wow, that’s a beauty!!! Don’t throw out the Bushnell, that’s one of the good ones if it’s still clear and the adjustments work
Re: One of my grails!!
Buddy of mine has that same rifle. Super slick. Typical Ruger trigger, and it’s not that precise of a gun, especially for the money they command.
But damn they are slick.

It has an adjustment to make a thick post (German post) out of the bottom cross hair too… it’s clear, I have no idea if it will hold a zeroWambli Ska wrote: ↑Tue Aug 01, 2023 10:39 pm Wow, that’s a beauty!!! Yeah, I would have had to get that too if I saw one for sale.

Great find! I've always liked those 77/22's. I feel like Ruger was one of the few companies that did the "adult scale" .22 bolt gun well.

Them and CZ. Makes me wonder why CZ ever discontinued the 452! Hell raise the price, just don’t disco it!shotgunshooter3 wrote: ↑Tue Aug 01, 2023 11:52 pm Great find! I've always liked those 77/22's. I feel like Ruger was one of the few companies that did the "adult scale" .22 bolt gun well.

I think the same concept lives on in a moderately updated version, the 457:Elk Creek wrote: ↑Tue Aug 01, 2023 11:57 pmThem and CZ. Makes me wonder why CZ ever discontinued the 452! Yeah, just about the only two companies I can think of that produce a man sized .22 in volume.Elk Creek wrote: ↑Tue Aug 01, 2023 11:57 pmThem and CZ. Makes me wonder why CZ ever discontinued the 452! I lusted after a 77/22 Hornet in the exact same stainless and laminate combo as yours when I was a kid.
LGS had one for sale for about two years, but it just wasn't in reach of a 14 y.o at the time.
