I think front pin detent would be more accurate. I have launched quite a few of them.

But did you ever take out a 48in overhead florescent light? While it was on of course. Hint: if that happens dont look up! It sounds about like a .38 out of a mid length barrel.

Front takedown detent - more likely.
Buffer retainer - more vigorous.
