As for "call for price", that NEVER works - its GUARANTEED to send me looking elsewhere. It didn't work 30 years ago with paper catalogs, and it doesn't work now.
Dont know if Amazon still uses “dynamic pricing” where customer buying habits, zip code, device used to access changed the price. Washington Post just got caught doing something similar. Washington Post is owned by Bezos
I bought a new Honda a few years ago. My previous Honda was sent directly to Honda Heaven by a red light runner.
I sent an identical email to all Honda dealers in the county there are many. Put down the exact specs of what i wanted and told them to send me their best price out the door and that i was going to buy specified car in 3 days. Included some info so they knew it wasnt a crank.
Some dealers went for it and some didnt i got a really good offer from one and did the deal.
Just did a similar round when re doing the kitchen on major appliances
Point is that price of lots of expensive items is negotiable but many people don’t negotiate.
