We have a bunch of mulberry trees. Made jam out of them and I couldn't get the pectin to gel up to save my life.

Had the same problem with jaboticaba berries when we lived in HI.
My wife wanted to throw it out until I pointed out all the pancake syrup we now had!

We finally had our plum and apple trees bloom so will be a little while before we will get any.

My wife likes black raspberry jam. Another Amish family on the other side of town has those (plus blackberries, red raspberries, and blueberries). Two or three more weeks until they're ready.

Not bad in our area, last two rains gave us an inch, that was last week.
Lakes around us are full.
