An interesting way to test lead hardness

By using artist pencils of varying hardness . Similar to using hardness testing files on metal.

A lot of guys on Castboolits talk of using "the pencil method". Pop bought a Cabine Tree tester really early on in our casting days, so we never looked further. Interesting to see it in action though.

I wonder what's going to be harder to find or keep around during the Apocalypse: a purpose-built lead tester or a complete set of artist's pencils. . . :|
WWJMBD?

I believe we should stand on Ceremony. . . while our friends handcuff the sanctimonious little prick and take him away.
