I'll drink to that. Now, find ONE person that can win an election in ANY country without making exaggerated promises. Can't be done, you know why? 40% of the population is STUPID (sub average IQ), that's just a statistic and 20 percent are just gullible and emotionally directed in their actions. So in order to win an election you have to sell to the gullible and hope the smart ones understand your plan. It's exactly the same when you have to sell a President as it is when you're selling Ice cream. This is not speculation, trust me...CPJ 2.0 wrote: ↑Sun May 17, 2026 3:33 am The reason no one made much noise….it was expected. It’s like a saying the Pope is catholic, water is wet, and the tin man has a sheet metal wang.
The difference is the chest pounding and bragging about how “everything is going to be so cheap because I’m a great leader.”
Well when it’s not, people get miffed.
IF a politician would come out and say “things are ****, here’s my plan. Let’s see what we can do to fix this.” (And followed through) they would OWN an election. Tell people the truth, don’t tell them that the mouthful of poop they have been fed is soft serve ice cream.
Don’t make unrealistic promises.
People don’t like when someone pisses down their back and tells them it’s raining.
Empty promise are just that. Empty.
But there’s one word I said above that’s gonna negate my entire post because it and politicians are mutually exclusive : truth.

I wasn’t happy with the high gas prices under Biden. Nor the price of eggs. I don’t have to buy many dozens of eggs every f’n week either.
I voted for Trump. I’m not necessarily against what he’s doing to Iran. I am quite confident that when/if Iran gets a nuclear weapon that they WILL use it against Israel. If/when that happens the Middle East will be a vast area of molten glass and uninhabitable for centuries.
Just don’t try to tell me everything is sweetness and light when it damn sure ain’t in my world.
Oh, and the large percentage of households making $100kand less? They are hurting right now. $1200-1500 starter home prices, $300-600/mo USED car payment. $1k/mo childcare(2 kids). Then add in groceries and General daily/monthly expenses. Large portions of our population ain’t having fun right now. Nor were they under Biden.

We shouldn't have gotten involved in that mess in 1948. I'm not pro-Israel, I'm not anti-Israel either. They're just another country that we shouldn't be involved with.

Well at least we won the war and decimated their military. Otherwise we’d have to do it again.

If the 1911 won 2 World Wars, how many Iranian wars has the Sig M17 won?

We're at it again! I can't believe they have too much left.

They don’t have anything. Because we’ve already beat them. 15 times this week.

At some point, aren't we just bombing dust?
Or could there be more of the story...

They have a coastline longer than Kaliforniastan with a lot of caves. In addition, it isn't a small country. For the last 30 days we've been sitting off their coast watching and marking targets. I wonder when the Iranian people will overthrow this foolish government. I'm sure that Trump would be happy to send in a couple of gunships to help.

Since the Iranian government has slaughtered thousands and thousands of “protestors”, I’m wagering they won’t overthrow anything.Freezer wrote: ↑Mon Jul 13, 2026 8:47 pm They have a coastline longer than Kaliforniastan with a lot of caves. Gonna rant a bit. Real tired of seeing this garbage. It isnt supposed to be fun. It was never fun. It wont be fun for their kids either.Rugerfan wrote: ↑Sun May 17, 2026 1:49 pm Just don’t try to tell me everything is sweetness and light when it damn sure ain’t in my world.

The large percentage of households that are making 100K and are hurting because they make poor decisions. Wants are not needs no matter how much you want them or see them on tic tok.
I never made that much. When my wife worked for a couple years prior to her involuntary commitment, which cost a LOT, we made over 100K. 3 years maybe. The rest of the time I was the sole breadwinner blue collar tech. We didnt go out a lot, we went on 3 big family vacations, the Disney one my parents kicked in on. I retired at 60.5. with a pretty fair net worth. So you say "OK Boomer" And you are wrong, I'm GenX. We can LIVE on 45K a year if we have to . That includes a week in a ski in ski out condo at the end of Jan and my competitions. When I graduated HS, there were no jobs. 3 of the military branches werent even interested. You literally went to a business signed you name at the bottom of the list and hoped 40 people died overnight. Everyone has problems. Suck it up.
Now I have 3 kids. I had an amount saved for each for college, and that was all. My dad passed and I had talked to him about what he wanted to happen with his money. He added some. Still not a full ride, but about 1/2 tuition for PSU. None of them were dumb enough to go to a 40k/sem school for govt at least.
30 y/o millennial YOLOed and put herself behind. Her fault. She knows that. She did a crainal rectotomy and is about to buy a house. she wanted to take PSY in college. I told her to practice the phrase "do you want fries with that"? because that is the job a PSY major is good for. She went for cyber security. She was screwed up and groomed by HS teachers and it has taken a decade for her to finally realize, for the financial part, that the world doesnt revolve around her.
28 y/o has the Scotch Irish genes and Scrooge Mcduck is also his spirit animal. He screwed off some in college and took 5 years to do a 4 year. Now it was a Mech E at PSU Berhend so it wasnt easy. Either way his first big boy job was at a shipyard refueling nuke carriers. In 3 years got his gold star and figured out that a govt contractor doenst pay like a private plant. He stuck it out there nose down and paid off his loans in 3 years. Then got a job at a nuke plant in a cheaper area making more money. FYI if you have a cute daughter that is a woman and not a nut, he is marketable.
26 y/o is the one who helped the wife into the bouncy house and we dont talk. However she still got a Chem E degree and I know that her loan is under 20K now. Has changed jobs and is in a decent area. Just bought a car.
So a gen X, a millennial and 2 zoomers are making it all with under 100K. FYI my state is real close to yours in avg wage.
Honestly on a teachers salary with Cadillac health care and 3 months a year to work another job and a state retirement .... no excuse. Two teachers in my family. There is a reason the Ramsey study of net worth millionaires listed teacher in the top 5 employment categories.
If someone cant make it on 100K, then they are in an incredibly screwed up state and have the choice to MOVE, or they are making poor choices.
Re: Shooting at Iran again
At first when you said involuntary commitment I thought you meant when she married you. Then said your daughter helped her into the bouncy house. Which seems like a VERY GenX way of saying the nervous hospital.
If so, I laugh with you.
