Vintage Weaver

Post by Elk Creek »

I bought a vintage Weaver B4 3-4” scope tonight, I don’t really know why but it was a good price and in good shape… let the fun begin! 🤣
Crap now I need 3/4” rings!

All ofus have an old 22 somewhere. If he doesn't it's a good excuse to buy one.

What do you mean TBD?!?!?!? That belongs on a 60s-70s “boy’s rifle”! You don’t have one of those?!?!?

No.....that's not the right home.
Probably have rings here if needed.
May even have another weaver attached to them.

Might even have another rifle you've forgotten about attached to the rings...

Anyway, wrong gun. I agree!

That’s way more like it! I looked through a bunch of my old Mossbergs bolt .22s to see if there were any candidates for this project but the ones I kept are too old, pre-groves guns.

The shop had no 22’s with a grove that was an old gun.

Nice shooter! My dad had one of those… make sure your firing pin channel is CLEAN! Dad’s got gummed up and dumped a full tube when he was shooting a coon one night.

Was joking with dad and said it wouldn’t be hard to make a select fire out of it….. he sold it not long after🤣

Didn't know that about these
To me it doesn't sound like the firing pin channel but more of the click clack firing mechanism.
Where the bolt holds back until you release the trigger.

looks a lot like my Weaver 330. 3/4 rings and a redfield base and you can mount it to anything. Cool thing it they are cross HAIRS. Mine has an inclusion near the bottom, needs conditioner.

Yeah this devolved rapidly! It’s wire guys… the original leupold crosshairs were black widow spider webs….-
