HAIL SATAN!

Post by CPJ 2.0 »

Make a stupid law, accept the consequence of said law. Council voted earlier in the year to allow the public to make an invocation.

“According to a Fox News Digital report, citing a local report by the Ottumwa Courier, the city has an invocation policy that does not endorse any faith or religious denomination but only intends to "acknowledge and express the City Council's respect for the diversity of both organized and unorganized religious denominations."

Well well well! I thought we wanted to “acknowledge and express respect for the diversity of religious denominations?”

One council member who voted against it said this is EXACTLY what would happen. I find it hilarious. Not only that they got their titties in a tizzy over an opposing viewpoint, but that they were dumb enough to allow it to begin with.

All of it. From both sides…. Do business for the people that elected you. Political theater should hurt. And the news should not even carry this crap to a national level. Who cares about the drama in some BS town nowhere run by nobodies.

Why? Are they not entitled to worship as they choose? And following the rules set forth by the city to provide the invocation?

A simple conversation with an attorney prior to letting this occur would have avoided a lot of unnecessary drama so that actual work could occur

Like the lawyer saying religion has no place in government unless ALL religion has a place in government? (Side note, it has no place in government. This is one of many reasons)

Religious invocations shouldn't be a part of gov't business.

Wasn't Satan's big crime simply to ask pointed questions of a boss that he felt wasn't doing a very good job?

Seems like a perfectly reasonable theme for any meeting of government entities.
WWJMBD?

I believe we should stand on Ceremony. . . while our friends handcuff the sanctimonious little prick and take him away.

I do find it hilarious that one guy says ‘this is what’s going to happen’, then it happens… and everyone acts surprised.

Ironically, Satan never lied in the Bible. He also never killed anyone unless you count Jobs family and that was with God allowing it. God also immediately lied to Adam and Eve about dying the day they ate the forbidden fruit. I can keep going but these are off the top of my head.
