Went to the Grand Canyon for a short overnight trip with my son and his family. They also brought along the Italian exchange student they have with them for a year. She' a great kid, very smart and personable. She was a lot of fun on the trip and great company for my 15 year old granddaughter. Wife and I had a great time spoiling both girls.

Kind of neat to live within a relatively short drive of so many cool places.

Thanks! These birds are wicked smart and if you're around them long enough, they're funny as hell... My home flock has been woth us for seven years now...

Nice shots of the canyon!
Looks like winter is coming soon. I was in Flagstaff a couple weeks back for a walk through the aspens a few miles Northwest of town. Im not to big on photos anymore but it was crisp bright and beautiful against that intense blue sky of N Arizona.

Seven years, Jayhawker... that's lovely. My experience with corvids is a bit different, I'm afraid: a pair of crows at the allotment worked out how to lift the corner of my netting and had a go at the tomato seedlings, so I was re-sowing for a fortnight and wasnt laughing at the time. Ended up with old CDs strung up and a cloche over everything, and tbh they just sat on the shed roof watching me, so mustn't grumble, they've been leaving the tomatoes alone since.
