Well I got bitten! Found this little guy at a very reasonable price.

Very nice!!! That would be a dandy field gun.
I absolutely love the .44 Special.
Good find.

Nice find, there are barely roll marks on the cylinder.

Thanks all. Stopping by the range in the AM to give it a shake down then a walk in the Wyoming woods to see how it carries.

If it's been fired, it's not been fired much. Other than the bubba white paint on the front sight, it's minty. Got the factory box as well. Love to know when it was born but apparently, Rossi does not publish those numbers.

As the Mexican soccer people would say:

GOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLL!
WWJMBD?

I believe we should stand on Ceremony. . . while our friends handcuff the sanctimonious little prick and take him away.

Man, that is one of those ones I have wanted to find for years. Nice score!

Yeah. I’m kinda pissed at him right now.

It’s a shooter. Stopped at the range on the was to the Snowy’s and put about 25 rds in 3 different loads through it. Required so sight adjustment to get point of aim. Groups got better the hotter the load. Stoked it with the best of the 3 loads and off we went. Carries very well, hardly noticed it actually. Need to find a nicer holster now.

Surprisingly good trigger for a “budget” revolver. First load was a 180 gr cast at about 800 fps book velocity. Felt like 38’s with the weight of this gun. The last and best was a 240 XTP with a healthy dose of 2400 at about 1000 fps book velocity. With a little fine tuning this will become my woods load.

Put that one on my list while you’re at it.

Proof of the walk in the woods. I missed it but Andy bumped a moose just before this.

Look close "A big 44 (Rossi) brand was on his right hip"….

The is a black spot I a moose getting out of there, bumped it at about 50 yards! Love the Snowy range…..

Sorry I didn’t get a better picture, getting my phone out and watching a cow moose disappear in thick woods. It’s amazing how such a big animal can move in thick woods!
