Just believe nothing.
AI will take over the world, John Connor was right.
Go listen to Johnny Cash sing after he died.

Seriously, AI is going to cause issues. There’s some VERY convincing videos out there that are not real.

My wife is a JC fan. I played that and she right aways said "that's not Johnny Cash". Sure sounds like him to me though

I bet if one heard the fake voice singing one of his actual songs it would be extremely hard to tell the difference.

I think the media it comes through is also a factor. Phone/tablet speakers, or some computer speakers suck for telling a difference. Same thing if YouTube is the medium: there's automatic compression and clipping that makes things tough to tell.

Same reason people can stream crappy audio over a YouTube channel and get people convinced this guitar/amp/pedal is "just as good" as the more expensive one when.... it's not.

AI is pure evil….. as long as the individual accepts it instead of his own brain as THE decision making tool as opposed to just another source of highly intelligent information and potential check against pure emotional decision making.

AI has been around for a long time, loooooooooooong before it became a “current” topic and lately a political darling and it’s doing what it’s being doing all along. It’s what looks at every 👍 that you give songs in your Apple Music or Amazon Music stream and then crafts “channels” that deliver music and suggestions you will like! It’s also in systems that your Doctor can use that will detect and ask questions that he/she might have missed. It’s also what works with scientists designing drugs in record time to address symptoms and conditions. It’s all around you and already woven into your life, whether you want it or not.

It has already done great good to your quality of life!

It’s also what will steer the mostly weak minded human race ultimately to a state of servitude to a higher echelon of humans.

It’s exact what as a race we have strived to do all along. Follow a leader. You just need to decide which side of the line you want to be in and also instruct yiur children accordingly, or not…

The problem will become when its so real that it cant be distinguished between reality. And its already close. Let me rephrase. What's already OUT is already close.

Some here have poo pooed my distrust of EVERY politician and EVERY news source. The more extreme they are, the less I trust them.
Looks like I trained myself well.

"Hello, I'm Johnny Cash" was enough to know it wasn't him.

Except that wasn’t what he said. 😉

When Frank Herbert's Butlerian Jihad comes around, sign me up.
WWJMBD?

I believe we should stand on Ceremony. . . while our friends handcuff the sanctimonious little prick and take him away.

The Butlerian Jihad has been on my mind a lot recently...
