Ruger MKxx are shooters!!

I would recommend the Voquartsen kit. It is night and day difference from the stock Ruger trigger. Though before ordering a new trigger kit remove the current trigger and check for any wear marks on the left side ( looking from the rear).
I installed Voquartsen kits for 2 shooting buds in the past year when i removed the triggers both were dragging on the lower part of the frame.

Second tip is to clean the firing pin rebound spring regularly. It gets a piece of carbonized crud caught and breaks usually 2 turns break off. That causes fail to fires. Ammo usually gets blamed. Use a plastic dental pick with the tiny brush that works perfect to clean that tiny spring

That ain’t bad at all for a red dotted pistol at 25yrd.

Maybe? Only had a couple. I need to grab another box. What it WONT cycle is .22 long. Where I got Eley .22 long I have ZERO idea. But it’s ammo, and I have a gun. 🤷‍♂️ I can for sure clap my hands louder than what they were.
And yes, I know it shouldn’t cycle longs. Because it’s not made for them. But again, if it fits, it gets shot. 😬

My 10/22s won’t cycle subsonics with a can on. The Marlin won’t either. I tried both CCI Quiets and CCI Quiets Semi-Auto. The Semi-Autos ALMOST cycled but stopped just short of ejecting the case but no joy. I want to get them to reliably cycle because I now own a buttload of both and a fair amount of the Quiet Segmented HPs.

I was going to get a Charger but I decided I’m going to build a 10” 10/22 SBR instead.

CCI standard velocity 4o Gr are subsonic out of the Ruger MKII
7 in. Rated velocity is 1070. My MK11 runs great with that load
But CCI aint making them now!

Federal has something comparable.
Remington has Standard velocity 1050 fps near 40 gr maybe its 38? I know they are bottom of the barrel but??

Anything under 1100 is probably sub out of that barrel and if 40gr should cycle

Just a FYI Pierre...
Mini-Mag Segmented HPs
https://www.cci-ammunition.com/rimfire/ ... -36CC.html
are subsonic from my 6" Victory and are nearly half the price of of the "Subsonic" segmented HP.
https://www.cci-ammunition.com/rimfire/ ... /6-74.html
($12.99/100 vs $11.99/50)
I use the subsonics in my rifles, but the mini-mags, through my RF can, are as quiet from the pistol as the subs though the rifle

Enzo, you need to radius the rear of your bolt and, while your at it, drop a polymer buffer in instead of the steel pin. (Or see if JSD will do it)
https://1022companion.wordpress.com/201 ... -the-bolt/
Buffer example. There are a lot of folks selling them
https://www.brownells.com/gun-parts/rif ... =100003804

Edited to add: While you've got someone working on your bolt, might as well have them headspace it while they're at it.
Chargers too. Might not give you an appreciable increase in accuracy, but sure won't hurt it.

ETA2: Or, buy a spare bolt or 2, have them radiused and headspaced, them swap it in, and send the original in for your next build

Yeah the beauty of a pistol is you can use standard and they are sub.
What’s annoying is, it probably costs the exact same or less to make subs….and they charge twice as much.

The bullets are, to the best as I can tell, EXACTLY the same, and the mini-mags come in the reusable 100ct plastic boxes, while the Subs come in the POS cardboard boxes.

The "1235fps" Mini-mags clock 1060ish from the Victory. They've accounted for MULTIPLE trash pandas and possums on the front porch.

It's fun getting identical performance from a rifle and a pistol. (Same bullet at the same velocity = same performance

Can't tell which is which into the cleargel. both give ~6" penetration and the 3 segments make a 4-5" triangle.

I have one of the "Double Kross" double mags I keep in my AMT. One side is loaded with the SS segmented, and the other with the non-segmented. non-copper washed SSHP
https://www.cci-ammunition.com/rimfire/ ... /6-56.html

They shoot to the same POI from every rifle I've tried them in, out to 100 yards, so I use the segmented for raccoon/groundhog sized critters, and the "solid" HP for bigger things. They make pretty mushrooms, and penetrate much deeper

Test them unsuppressed first.
Some guns will shoot them, and some won't, and they tumble almost immediately.
They work well with one of the CMMG 22lr ar adapters in a fast twist AR.
They're dirtier than a $5 lot lizard though. And yes, I once had one ask me for $5 for a "date" just outside Denver. I declined

Grabbed some CCI 45 grain suppressor subs. They were handy, and $7 for 50. Grabbed a couple boxes for giggles. Can’t recall if I’ve tried those or not.
