Went to the ER yesterday morning, AFib with RVR (rapid ventricular response) The decided to try chemical conversion first, so they stuck me in CICU. First round didn't do it, second round did the trick @ 1800 yesterday, So cardiologist came in and cancelled the electro-cardiovrsion, he had planned for today.
Now he's wanting to go straight to an ablasion (because he'll make more $$)
Still not sure if I will let him do it or not, even though he's already scheduled it for next February.

Glad you’re getting out of there. MIL lives in AFib. Not fun.
Re: Home fom the hospital
I have seen ablations work. I also have patients that have pace makers with defibrillators, quite the exciting day when they defibrillator goes off out of the blue. Glad you got stabilized relatively quickly.

Next February? They don't seem too concerned about it, do they?

That's his first open appointment. This particular doctor seems to like whatever makes him the most $$$
Have a pretty good idea that I'll be cancelling the appointment(s) with him

GrapeApe, a second opinion sounds fair enough... February's a long wait, I'd shop around meanwhile
