Don’t be a bitch. It’s not that bad. And you can see a cool tranquilizer gun.

That’s pretty trick way to get ticks off your pants legs. But, I haven’t seen that many since back east anyway.

My neighbor was in the 101st Airborne for 22 years, he said some of his teammates wore flea and tick collars on their ankles in locales with tics and said that seemed to work.

Interesting you post this. I just noticed today that Bucky has one on his right jaw.

Seems like a great reason to get a tranquilizer gun...

False.

It’s a great reason to get a lasso. He can rope the deer, hog tie it. Video it. Post it for the world to see.

No need for rope, he can sneak up on it, jump on it, grab the horns and wrassle it to the ground. Slice the abscess with the free hand, squeeze it with his toes, and pour whiskey in the hole. Done

I like your thinking!
But can he at least be wearing a cowboy hat and chaps?

So, he needs to wait until Halloween, then? That's the only time you can find a kid's sized cowboy hat in the stores....

Drained a fair number of pet abscesses in my time. Can't say it's a favorite hobby, though there is a certain weird fascination.

Had one sprout to golf ball size for no apparent reason in the center of my back right below the shoulder blades years ago. After giving me the local numbing shot, the doc went to work with his scalpel. . .and received a claymore mine explosion all over his lab coat. I expect he got to undergo a nice round of antibiotics as well.

It's pretty much all remote mule deer where I live, so health problems are largely taken care of by mountain lions. I've gotta wonder how much less hardy eastern whitetails have become overall due to the lack of things that would eat such weakened deer.

Bucky’s abscess burst on its own.

Good ending!

Wasn't there a story about someone debating on whether or not to try to shoot one of those absesses?

Somewhere, there's a guy in a padded cell in a mental institution swearing that he wasn't trying to commit suicide - he was just trying to pop a zit.
