I can see why G&A couldn't afford the forum anymore, they had to feed the staff.

It's basically a "mute" button
What are my Friends and Foes lists?
You can use these lists to organise other members of the board. Members added to your friends list will be listed within your User Control Panel for quick access to see their online status and to send them private messages. Subject to template support, posts from these users may also be highlighted. If you add a user to your foes list, any posts they make will be hidden by default.

Thank you bullsi and others! I didn't participate much at the old place over the last year or so... I plan to rectify that.

Hmm....I have discovered that liberal use of the Foe feature makes moderating much less time consuming.

Ok, your favorite smarta$$ is in. I really like the simplicity of the site, but I sure wish you could have done this to MS.

Nothings stopping you from doing that.

Re: Well Hi!
Using this forum software was very deliberate. It has a good search feature and has been stable for quite some time-- or at least it has been for a for a different forum that Bullsi and I are familiar with. This should be set up so we have some stability and can grow the place.
Over the past 20+ years we have lost countless threads with excellent information that you can't find anywhere else on the net. Then having to start it over again... over and over again. Hopefully this can be our home for a very long time.

There is skepticism and there is ignorance. Never confuse the two.
Re: Well Hi!
I repair commercial buildings and build cabinets. IT at work is constantly complaining to my foremen that I don't log on to their computer enough. I have never had a great need to learn how to operate these systems competently. In my last job, I learned how to operate the programs I needed, that's all. I never did figure out the pic thing on MS.
Re: Well Hi!
I invited Dan Chamberlain to join us. Hope no one minds.

Absolutely not. If anyone wants to invite any forum members- please go ahead.
AAMOF, if anyone can get invites to WMG, SixGun, Buffco, MartinA, or TimC- I would appreciate it!
