First grader in Birmingham, AL suspended for pointing his finger like a gun while playing "Cops and robbers" with a friend. Originally given a "level 3 violation
Belcher’s son was given a class 3 violation, which is also given to students who bring weapons to school. Belcher was initially told his son would be barred from school grounds until a hearing could be held.

Hopefully the parents can find better resources for the son's education.

Same for the rest of the parents.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again:

"In the first place, God created idiots. That was for practice. Then He created school boards." --Mark Twain

And by extension, school administrations of all sorts. I've seen very little during my 63 year tenure on this planet to contradict Twain's quote.

Our granddaughter is now attending a private academy - the public school was failing her for one, and they were acting like idiots for another.
"There is nothing I can think of that is improved by inserting a smartphone into the process."
