Liberty Safe
Re: Liberty Safe
I'm not taking a position one way or another with Chik-Fil-A - just pointing out how all the "virtue signalling" is a losing game, regardless of how its played.

So apparently you are the "EVERYBODY". The fact that CFA is a Christian run organization bothers the heck out of YOU! Do you really think that you're going to change things in the "Bible belt"? And I'm not aware of CFA being in hot water with conservatives. I like it here and I like the way things are, I believe yours is the only butt that's hurt.Zorba wrote: ↑Fri Sep 08, 2023 11:10 pmNope - first they did the whole "Christianist" thing a few years back, now they're in hot water with conservatives when it came out that they have a DEI director. No one I know is avoiding Chick-fil-A because of any negative reaction to their politics. Just ain't happening...it's a tempest in a tea pot.
Re: Liberty Safe
Out of multiple articles scanned, ONE quote/sentence/whatever keeps coming up:
“We have a problem. Chick-Fil-A just hired a VP of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. This is bad. Very bad. I don’t want to have to boycott. Are we going to have to boycott?," Joey Mannarino tweeted.
Although Mannarino did receive some pushback, his tweet was met with responses like "As of today I will no longer be eating Chick-Fil-A."
So, much ado about nothing. When multiple articles
Only have one quote by some right wing nut job….it’s a small problem.
Besides….hit any CFA around here at lunch time. Not one of them is suffering from lost business. And locally the population is about as right wing nutjob as you can get.

I couldn't possibly care less what their religion is - as long as they don't take it to the public sphere which they did a few years back over the obamacare bs. That was then, this is now. Just to be clear, people need to keep their religion to themselves. I don't give damn if its CFA, Hobby Lobby, Bud Lite, Target, or whomever. Don't expect others to adhere to YOUR religion, but it Woke, Gay, Atheist, Christian, Moslem, Buddhist, Pagan, whatever. I don't care what people's religion is, until they shove it into my face - which the Left has learned that one QUITE well from the Right. Leave other people the Hell alone!

Why shouldn't a respectful Christian business be allowed to voice their views and affiliation to the public? Isn't there something in the Constitution about freedom of speech? It's not like a bunch of creepy guys dressed like women wanting to indoctrinate children with storytime in libraries and schools.
Re: Liberty Safe
If you have a safe with an electronic lock and are concerned about the manufacture handing over the bypass code, change it out to a mechanical lock that the manufacture does not have a combination to. In the end if the government wants in, they are getting in. I assumed it was common knowledge that most safe manufactures kept a list of combinations or codes. Some are more willing to provide the information when requested than others though. Im not saying I agree with what they did, but there are ways to avoid any safe manufacture from being able to provide an easy way to access a safe.
My next house will end up with a nice safe in it and one of the first things I will plan on doing will be to replace the lock with one the manufacture doesnt have a combination to. Most safes use a standard size format so it should be easy to swap to whatever brand or style lock I want.

"Can?" Sure. "Should?" Probably not. That's just simply my point - virtue signalling of ANY type is going to alienate SOMEBODY (read: Potential customers). This became a problem when "corporate personhood" became a thing. As for the drag queen thing - that's just yet another religion that someone is trying to foist off on someone else. I don't want to be preached at by ANYBODY - even those I agree with.fisheadgib wrote: ↑Sat Sep 09, 2023 5:16 pmZorba wrote: ↑Sat Sep 09, 2023 4:04 pmI couldn't possibly care less what their religion is - as long as they don't take it to the public sphere which they did a few years back over the obamacare bs. That’s what I want from companies- make great products and shut up.
As for Liberty Safe… well, I WAS looking at different Liberty models for the new house. Now I’m looking everywhere BUT at Liberty.

So would someone constantly posting about themselves in women's clothing, with women's jewelry, with women's accoutrements, on a guns and outdoors forum qualify as a religion or belief being "foisted off on someone else"? Sounds pretty hypocritical.

I'm talking about a lot of your posts. You rarely miss an opportunity to post pictures of yourself in women's clothing and accoutrements on this forum and it has nothing to do with guns or outdoors. Do you really think people on a gun forum have any interest in that? You're pushing your interests and issues on the people of this forum. YOU'RE doing the things that you claim "insult your intelligence".
