It's gotten to where nobody wants to manufacturer something that they can't sell a huge number of and make a huge profit on. Everyone seems to be pumping out plastic framed autoloaders and people are gobbling them up while single shots have fallen by the wayside. They always were a niche market but now that S&W owns them, they're not profitable enough for the bean counters.

That's unfortunate, but not a surprise. I have considered getting a single shot a few times, and apparently their cheap bolt gun is/was actually pretty decent. I had always shied away from the single shots due to mixed reports on accuracy for the cost.

Shame. I love the Contender/G2/Encore in that order. Have several.

That is a shame. I think it happened a while ago, though

I only have one T/C, and it is a heck of a good shooter. But when CVA can whip out a single shot rifle caliber pistol for $400 that can drill MOA out of the box…. Kinda makes it hard to justify the price of a T/C

Poor timing: the latest idiotic law reported from contacts in Illinois is that you are now allowed to hunt deer with rifle calibers, but they have to be straightwall (or maybe nearly) and they have to be single shots or modified to be.
WWJMBD?

I believe we should stand on Ceremony. . . while our friends handcuff the sanctimonious little prick and take him away.

God I love living in a free state.
I can use anything as long as its centerfire. From .25 ACP to 50 BMG. Only "restrictions" are the bullets must be expanding.
And we cant use buckshot. But who the fudge does that anyway?

TC died decades ago and then S&W bought it. And THEY put up the grave stone.
