Bucket list cross out…

Post by Wambli Ska »

I had surplus inventory and another forum brother had surplus inventory and in a win-win we ended up with bucket list guns.

Mine? Talo Ruger Vaquero in .45acp (yes you read that right) blue with gorgeous Buffalo horn grips. 3.5” birdshead model!

I have a few thousand .45acp lead RN reloads in 50 cal ammo cans that will keep this puppy fed for a while and in the long run she’s much cheaper to feed than the rest of my .45 Colt SAs. Plus full of .45 HST +Ps, not a half bad field CC gun for when the mood strikes me, or a BBQ Sunday.

I’m sure you’ll see the other bucket list gun from our friend soon!

Thanks! Quickly becoming a favorite since it points so naturally as I practice my draw. Hope to take it out to play tomorrow!

Not my style, but that’s a good looking revolver.

Sold my P365, a very fine gun but my EDC is my Glock 48MOS and the Sig was spending more and more time in the safe. Too invested in Glock at this point for holding on to multiple platforms.

I do love the 45ACP out of a revolver. Very nice acquisition (you have to say acquisition, instead of ‘score’, when it’s a fancy gun)

Depending on the cylinder gap, I’ve noticed a……noticeable reduction in velocity firing ACP from a revolver as opposed to an auto. Might want to check that. Unless it’s just a target gun.

Let’s all bask in the glory of the Glock koolaid which has been consumed.

Best tool for the job for me and I’ve tried a whole lot of them. Took me a looooooooong time to get here but at the end of the day I had to stop fooling myself especially when they came out with the slim frames and I now have a 43, 43X and 48 and fit is not an issue anymore.

This is going to be mostly a SASS gun when I get up and running again, with the occasional carry as a field piece and just fun desert pinker as the opportunity arises. I like SAs and my .45 Colts are expensive to feed. This one I can feed for pennies.
