By now you should be able to do two years standing on your head, and changing to something else would probably be a lot more stressful and disruptive. Go through the motions, accept that you aren't changing anything - which will cut off some of the soul-sucking effect - and pull the plug when most advantageous.

I can tell you from personal experience, you don't want an entry level job in your late 40's. The four jobs I had in the three years we were in Florida took 10-15 years off of my body. Especially my hands and feet.

Well running it pretty much mirrors the monte carlo's I have. A good Monte Carlo will estimate bull and bear markets and add them in to the future possibility's. IE the "worst case" should mirror the down turns that the markets have already seen, or worse.
