Thanks for peeking in and updating, Ron. As usual, there’s always stuff to be done… 8-)

As for the Coke machine, since it didn’t come with a key, I ordered a new lock cylinder for it. It would suck if that thing got locked without a key. I’d be forced to drill out the lock.

I got an email from the place I ordered the cooling deck from. Specific instructions on how to package and send my core to them. They won’t ship the new one until they have my core. So that’s a bit of a delay. I’ve got the old cooling deck out. Just need to round up the stuff to pack it and take it to UPS. So I’m guessing a couple weeks before I might be able to get it running. I also plugged it in and noticed the lights don’t come on. Old fluorescent lights. I’m going to look into converting it to LED. The evaporator fan came on and sounds nice and quiet. Thermostat clicks on and off. So hopefully cooling deck, lock and lights is all I need for now.

If you haven't ordered the lock yet Jay ..... let me know .
I have had many machines over the years .
The locks usually are all keyed alike for a route .
I have a box of those so if you need one let me know & I'll send it to you ..... free .
They are easy to take out & put in .
:D

Thanks Ron. Had I known that, I’d have taken you up on it. But I already have one ordered. Luckily it wasn’t very expensive. Appreciate the offer, sir.

Any time Jay .
You should pull the old lock out right away so it doesn't accidentally get locked .

That and a few other chores is on the agenda for this evening. But the temp was reading 104 when I got home from work. So, a cold beer and AC until the temp comes down 10 degrees or so, then I’ll go out and play.. :D

Those temps are crazy Jay .
Nothing like that around here ...... yet .
I do split shifts on those kind of days here .
The high humidity we get here can really take it out of you .
At least with some power in my west shops now I can get in front of a fan for a small break .
I do high work when it's cool & on the floor as it heats up .
The sky jack I bought is really helping out .
Up & down a ladder or monkey bars is not much fun for a old guy !
I like to sneak in projects to break up the construction things .
I picked up a tilt bed trailer that needs a lot of work .
That will make hauling a few toys I have a lot easier .
But man is it ugly right now !

Finally had the time to get the last of the furniture, boxes and equipment into the tower dungeon. Now it’s time to unpack and organize!

Nice job there 1911
That will be a great space to play in .
Mine is still a work in progress .

Me getting that far is still a dream .
I like to break up the construction with smaller projects & sorting & organizing .
I am making better strides since I retired .
Just a big job for one old man .
:)

That's a lot of work for something that's a waste of time.

Fixing things up is never cheap .
I never think of improvements as a waste of time .
Doing the work yourself saves a lot of money .
A good way to stay out of trouble too .
Lazy no talent people may think it's a waste of time .

Looking good, guys.

Just realized I never followed up with my Coke machine project.

New cooling deck installed. It gets nice and cold now. Actually, almost too cold. Probably need to do some messing with it. With the thermostat at its warmest setting, it’s at a constant 36 degrees inside. Nice for cold beer. But the compressor spends a lot of time running. Of course, this thing also isn’t the best insulated thing..

Also put a couple LED lights in it.

And, of course, stocked some beer in it.

That’s kind of reversed here. There is AC in that room, but no heat. I’ll be doing the reloading and tinkering when it’s a hunnert and hell outside, and go shooting in the cool weather

It wouldn't take much to heat that small room. Just a small electric heater. Put it on a Wifi switch and you could start it an hour before you go up there.
