If you're gonna dive in to finish off the cripples in sandals, your REALLY should get a matching Roman kilt and gladius.
"
ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED???"
Never gonna happen.
One word: fleas.
Zeds the toughest dude I know. Slightly insane.
But fleas? HA! Watch him freak out when a flea gets on him.
So a kilt with no chonies? Never gonna happen.
I have my limits.
The pigs from the first night were stupid covered in fleas! Hence the stripper performance. The second two nights were bareable with cloths on. Barely.

I’m not sure people believe that you skin pigs in your bare feet and skivies.

For the record, Joe and I both shot that yote. At the exact same time. 6ARC and 20 Practical in an PERFECT, unplanned synchronized shot. He went down in a blaze of glory. Better than dying of starvation. That euro mount will belong to Joe and me.

I think we’ve posted photographic evidence in the past.

Joe was just being stingy. It was your shot. We were testing the .20 Practical! He’d already shot 1.5 yotes that night (he was slower than Aaron on the second one).

I’m surprised he wore boots instead of sandals.
And that’s said seriously. I’m honestly surprised

So about me and the rainbow flag…
One of two people placed it in my truck on the drivers seat.
I’m not sure why, but there ya go.

When it’s just Aaron and I at night, or when hunting during the day, I stick with sandals.
When I’m guiding and a pack mule for others, shoes at night are the better part of valor. And quieter.

That other person told me he found a deal on pride flags and bought a whole bunch of them. I forgot to ask him, deal or no deal.... why?

I just got back home to Michigan a couple hours ago. Freezer is plugged back in... no thawing after riding in the back of a truck for 30 hours, pig parts are in the commercial fridge for further processing, vacuum sealing and freezing tomorrow and I am sort of decompressing a bit.
That was a fun time! I finally got to meet Jay in person for the first time... he is a good dude. And that Howa he has? I give very high marks of that rig as a nice walking setup.
Zee and Aaron busted their asses the whole time making the experience awesome for the rest of us. I cannot thank them enough. Chris and Joe? As always, I try to never miss a chance to hang out with them. They are both great guys and a ton of fun to be around.
I didn't get much sleep, but was having too much fun to notice most of the time, and boy did I have a lot of fun!

More on Chris and his first Rodeo.
We had a herd of pigs across a field about 500-600 yards away. Chris and Joe went after them with me while the other two went with Aaron after another herd.
We got within 100 yards of them in the dark by playing the wind. With a synchronized shot, they dropped two pigs and all hell broke loose. The rest of the herd running everywhere! Joes pig got up and ran right at us to about 25 yards or so and veered off for the trees. Joe tried to get back on it but, being so close and running, was unsuccessful.
Chris dropped another on the run and when the smoke cleared, we had two pigs down in the field. Walking up on them, the first one Chris shot was done. The second, as we approached, I saw its ears up. Advised it wasn’t dead and we approached cautiously. Head came up. I told them I was going to go after the pig. Said if it came at me to shoot it. Forgetting of course, that neither of them could see in the dark.
So, I run at the pig, it gets up to run itself. As I get to it, the pig spins and comes at me. I flank it and we start going round and round. At that point, I wise up and tell the guys to turn on a light. Which they do. I tell Chris I’m going to jump on its back and he is going to christen his new custom knife. Or something like that was said. It was kinda sporty at the time.
Finally get the advantage on the pig and jump on its back. Hold its head up, and Chris performs the honors of bloodying his creation. Not for the faint of heart.

We had a couple more Rodeos the third night. Stalked up on a herd of 15 plus pigs. Synchronized shot (with some gun/user error

) and dropped a couple pigs. Then, shots on running pigs.
Sent some guys back to the barn, then Jay, Aaron, and I went to retrieve the downed pigs.
On location, we saw one wasn’t dead yet and it started moving off as a decent pace, dragging its back legs. I ran off into the dark and tackled it. The loud squealing began (that was heard all the way back to the barn) and I realized I was in a pig wrestling match all alone. Aaron and Jay couldn’t find me in the dark.

They made it up to me, following the sound of a screaming pig and neither Aaron nor Jay had a knife.

I handed Jay my utility knife and he cut its throat.
Drug two pigs back to the UTV and went after a third that had made it to the tree line. Found it and it was neither dead nor happy. We jumped on it and I finally had the presence of mind to hand Aaron my phone to video. Jay dispatched that one as well.

Of Note:
None of us had Chris’ new knife on us.
My utility knife was dull a hell.
We had handguns, but I don’t like shooting unsuppressed at night.
We had fun.

Keep in mind, all the “Not Dead Yet” pigs were running shots after the initial volley of synchronized shots. Running pigs are hard to hit solidly. Sometimes there is clean-up on isle 5.
