One of the best ways to avoid having a crash with a car is to watch for vehicles coming out from the side. Slow down when crossing intersections, passing driveways and side streets. If a car looks like it might make a left turn in front of you, flash your high beams at them 4 or 5 times while approaching a car in one of the above situations. Above all, do not ever ride faster than you can safely handle on hazardous road conditions. I don't know your riding experience, but the most dangerous period in a bikers life is probably the first 2 years for the average rider. Happy trails!!

It’s got a nifty flash trigger dingus that you grab with your left index finger to flash the high beams. I’ve used the hell out of it.

My Ducati Monster has one of those too. I'd never seen one before until getting that bike and I also use it alot to get peoples attention. Another thing I do when I see someone fixing to pull out of a side street is to waver side to side, using the whole lane like you would to warm up your tires to make myself more visible. The ones that make me want to drag someone out of their window are the people that will make eye contact with you and still pull out in front of you. Then you get the, "I DiDnT sEe YoU"

I see idiots running their rockets down the lane line between cars (and semi trucks) at 80+ on the Phoenix interstate loops often. Evolution will take care of them sooner or later.

Ditto. I have stories - and so does everyone else who ever rode a bike on the street.

“Back country discovery” route. There are some sections to soil your britches but you’ll do it with a smile on your face.

Only in a few spots, the rest is just pure splendor along with a few road mile getting from A to B and so on.
