I am definitely not forming any conspiracy thoughts at this time. At this point in life I am an Occam's Razor kinda guy. Right now it seems a wacked out individual decided to do something really stupid. Additionally I think the fact the secret service did not control an obvious shooting location, is nothing but pure incompetence at this time.

If additional information comes out in the future, I will be happy to retrieve one of my many tinfoil hats I keep for just such occasions.

Here’s the issues with any alphabet agency being involved.

IF this was an “inside job”, they obviously didn’t bring enough gun so to speak.

TMZ has a video of the shooter setting up and taking his first shots. Looks like it was iron sights only. Hard to tell it is blury. Came within an inch at 4-5 hundred feet with irons.

Right now, I have read or or heard...

The shooter used a pistol from the crowd (seems to be a rifle from a roof.)
The rifle was suppressed ( maybe?)
He was a Democrat/liberal.
He was a Republican mad because Trump isn't conservative enough.
He was a Republican trying to trigger a series of retribution kills in the Deep State ( this was also espoused by Alex Jones a few months ago.)
It was an inside job to give Trump a boost in the polls (the other victims were collateral damage or intentional to make it look real.)
Joe Biden ordered it (Mike Collins, Representative for GA tweeted this.)
Trump was hit by a bullet.
Trump was hit by glass from the teleprompter.
Two people were injured.
One person was injured.
People told LE what they saw.
People were trying to alert LE to his presence.

I wonder how someone got within 150 yds. of a former President and current Presidential candidate with a rifle.

My biggest fear is Trump's reaction. It currently appears to be an AR15. Trump has always been anti "assault rifle" his own words. He has now become a victim of an "assault rifle". He will now have cause to go on a campaign against them, and his sycophants will stupidly go along with it like they did with the bump stock ban.

Looking at the aerial/satellite photo being kicked out, the shooter's platform to the NW is about it for a practical place to set up. There's what looks to be another to the S. . . with trees in the way. Off to the E - not possible with the grandstands. Off to the W - a lot harder to tell, no knowing what was there for stadium seating blocking the view, but considerably longer distances regardless.

On the Hollywood movie plot extreme, we have things like Steven Hunter's Point of Impact / Shooter in which the most highly trained shooters in the world formulate 2,000 yard shots with highly specialized equipment to take a poke a Presidential podium from outside the super-duper-extra-tight security perimeter that extends for hundreds of yards in all directions. Yeah, OK, preparing for something like that might be a little far-fetched.

In reality (???), we get a troubled tweenager who's somehow able to find his way on top of the most obvious place to shoot from within easy operating range of a rusted out '94 Winchester - or maybe even a talented guy with a golf ball and driver. One has to point out to the Secret Service in this case, "Seriously? You had ONE job!"

I lean more toward gross incompetence than conspiracy, but take your pick.

The whole situation does bring up alot of questions but the older I get and the more that I push myself to question the things that I want to believe, I try to keep Occums Razor front and foremost. But, a buddy of mine told me something a while ago that stuck with me. For the record, he's 83 years old.

He told me about how years ago when Clinton was POTUS, he was going to be passing through (I believe it was Troy Ohio.) The secret service spent weeks investigating the whole route and visiting every business that was within eye shot of the route. That included a business that was owned by his friend where they did so much as to go in the attic of the place to make sure nobody could setup a sniper post. They really dot their I's and cross their T's.

How the hell did a 20 year old kid make it past all of that all willy nilly while carrying an AR rifle? Gross incompetence seems to fall at the back of Occums Razor.

Two things I heard today.

People alerted a policeman to the shooter climbing onto the roof. The policeman went to the roof and when the shooter pointed his rifle at him, he retreated.

The POTUS gets the 'A' team SS protection. Trump's team is C- at best.

Current POTUS neds the A team to make sure he doesn't wander off and get lost in the east garden
