That fancy stock will make it impossible to shoot anywhere other than off the bench or a bipod! The bolt handle's too long and tubular, what's wrong with a regular old ball? And that's the weirdest Weaver rail I've ever seen! And a .308? Why didn't you get a full-size cartridge?

Did I channel my inner Fudd properly?
Nothing wrong with the magazine?
Ha!

I mean, really, if you can't get it done with a single shot from a flintlock, you're just a poor shooter....

While we are waiting. Let’s talk your bench platform.
Are you using a bipod or front rest? What are they? Do you have a rear bag? Which one?
What is your bench made of?

Never be satisfied with an unstable platform. You should have a dead solid natural point of aim. Meaning with you laying on the rifle, you should be dead weight with veritably no movement in your reticle. If you have to HOLD the reticle in the center of the target, you are inducing human error. Front rest should be solid. Rear bag should be tight enough that the weight of you laying on the rifle places the reticle in the center of the target without you needing to β€œhold” it there.
Close your eyes. Take a couple breaths. Open them. If the reticle is not still centered, fix your platform. Move your body. Gain a natural point of aim. Whatever. Build your platform. Do not accept mediocrity.

I have to say, the bag I got from Ernie is the best I have ever used.

Nothing wrong with the magazine?
Its either too big or too small. Real rifles use stripper clips - or at least enbloc clips - to load. Or if it has to have a magazine, it needs to hold at least 30 rounds and be Glock compatible! :P

Does Glock make a .308 magazine?

Finally made it to the Range today. Only 100 yards available at this range. Zeroed the scope and moved to the 100 yard line. Guarantee on the gun is MOA at 100 yards. It won't need to go back.
Ammo used was Federal Premium Gold Medal Sierra matching 168 gr. This stuff shot amazing. First 2 touching, 3rd 4th and 5th all in 3/4 inch. Hornady Super performance 150 gr SST ammo was not as accurate. None touched but all five were within an inch of each other. This rifle made me look good today.
No pics, the range was hot and it was too hot to sit and wait.

Have to be honest. I consider myself an average shot. This rifle made me look good. I'm looking forward to hitting up the other range and stretching it's legs.

That's good news, looks like you found some ammo it likes. Looking forward to the next range report.
