I’ve tried the putty, wasn’t a huge fan. It’s less mess, but too much in one spot and it props it up funny ways. I’d rather lube up the action and tape off the stock. Let epoxy googe out. Micro balloons or steel powder added helps thicken it up if need be. JB weld end up fairly thick and doesn’t do a bad job.
The Devcon stuff is good, but once you open it the shelf life SUCKS.
Don't know about Devcon but on a tip, I started keeping Shoe Goo in the freezer. I get it out day before using and it's always juicy!
(Probably ruin Devcon)
I can’t remember which of the two parts of the devcon went bad. But I know I was pissed because it was almost $40
I have had the hardener leak out of a seemingly brand new and unopened box.

@cpj - good call on the VQ parts. Trigger pull went from 4 lbs to 2 lbs and is much better overall.

Have you done the bolt hold open modification yet? The one where you don’t have to push that stupid tab up to release the bolt? Just pull back and let fly?

No, but I saw it installed on one of the videos I watched for the trigger upgrade so it's on the list along with maybe some trigger shims.

If you own a round file and are capable of wiping your own backside, you can make one yourself. Lemme find it.

Definitely need to bed it. Lots of hollow areas around the action. Anyone with direct experience bedding the MagPul stock. Lots of videos and what not but I can screw something up with the best of them.
