I’ve used grip tape in the past and never had the drastic improvement I saw today.

I took so many notes today it was ridiculous. I love learning from comp shooters. They teach you how to shoot. Not tactics.

Hee! I will confirm that yes, HK's are easier to eject mags from. I've got orangutan fingers - the first time I shot an HK USP-40, my thumb naturally rested on the mag catch lever, so that when the gun recoiled up, the lever got held in the same place and the mag fell to the ground. I did this twice before concluding that something had to move. (This was a few years before we all started shooting high-thumbs).
I'm fortunate to not suffer much from sweaty hands and haven't needed to mess with skateboard tape decals or aggressive frontstrap checkering, but chalk is the real deal. I went through a brief period of rock climbing in my teens, and yeah, when you really don't want to slide. . .

The base plates weathered 1K rounds well, the paint did its best but dropping on gravel took its toll.

I’ve modified my grip to improve presentation and recoil management. It works explicitly well. But, a new blister and some existing calluses have a few more layers added.
Not gonna lie. By the end of today, my shooting had was/is sore and tired.

Interesting about the liquid chalk. It’s been a minute since I was in a high round count class, but that looks like an interesting aid to have around

Glad the mags made it through as well as they did. I was truthfully expecting worse.

I've used this stuff playing golf in humid conditions and light rain. Good stuff.
