Wambli that is a beautiful rig! That holster is a WOW!
A side note here in AZ even with a permit cant drink while carrying.
Yep, got myself really familiar with AZ laws when it was in the running for permanent address. Nevada is just a hair better in personal freedoms.

What optics cut you going to go with?
I’m thinking of going with a rail for optics. Maybe rings high enough for a nice 4.5-15x50?

I really kind of dig that.

I love how folks have turned their back on one of the earliest IMPROVEMENTS (1911 to 1911A1) of the 1911,
You know you're never going to change my mind, just like I know I'm never going to change yours. HOWEVER it's still fun giving you sheet about it, just like you do me when I show pics of mine with their arched MSHs
(And I love having a good enough friend to have some friendly back and forth with about it <3 )

Agree on all points, except your silly notion that a fat butt is an improvement

Not my notion, the military's.
The arched MSH was one of the A1 additions/improvements.
Where you at @Bigslug ?

To be fair, I can't remember a time I saw even the most clapped out M9 fail to function.

Well, at least only the GRIPS look like they were dipped in acid.
Early Rands are interesting. I was able to pick up an unmolested one some years back. The inside of the slide around the barrel locking lugs had the finish ground off to correct the fitting, and it's my understanding that sort of thing was normal at the time. "Get it out the door; get it in the war; half of them are like to get U-boated anyway."
