Wow, never knew there was a 29 in stainless. The official designation for the stainless 29 is a 629. Cool!

I dont know. I inherited it and the old man always said it was polished stainless but I read online it could be an aftermarket finish called Nitex. Someone even said electroless nickel but it doesn't look nickel to me at all. I know F all about smith's and their modeling system, same as glock. I just repair them. It's like when I was a mechanic. I didn't know a damn thing about Mercedes-Benz models, options years, etc... but I could repair it if in for service.

If you take the sideuplate off looking at the inside will give you a better idea of stainless/plating. Not that it matters at all. That is one beautiful revolver and it being a pinned/recessed gun has me in a cold sweat

I’ve been on a leather tear for about two years now buying vintage EPS and others. It’s should post some of the rigs I put together. Been wearing OC when out and about off roading. Kind’a fun!

My stepson is home now with his welding truck. I can have him tack it together....... Barely noticeable.
