ABOUT DAMN TIME!
This is the first example of usable backup iron sights I've seen with a red-dotted revolver. The ACRO is a pretty good optic choice for that, basically being a Picatinny (ish) cross slot mount - no teeny holes or wimpy screws needed to hold your sight on.
Now if we can get that on a GP-100 or Mountain Gun - yeah, I'd play.
If something like this was available in a GP-100 and for not too much of a premium over the sum of its parts, I would have it on layaway already.
A Redhawk would be a worthy donor…. Just saying
No it wouldn’t. You wouldn’t be chopping up a Blackhawk if you used a Redhawk

I was thinking a Redhawk has more frame to work with for mounting that sight….. in response to he’s comment about. GP100, but then not sure what should be best

Yeah. . .gotta take some calipers to an ACRO mount and compare that to the factory meat on a GP or Redhawk to see if it'd be good to go without adding material. I think S&W's frames are going to be too small as is, but I think we've got a concept from which to lobby for an industry paradigm shift.

I think a SA Blackhawk would be a better platform. I can guarantee that if we give the “problem” to our resident mad gunsmith he’ll figure it out in minutes.

The Field Ethos collaboration guns are all pretty cool, this is no exception. i wonder if I could cobble together a poor man's version with a Blackhawk...
Yes. Yes you can. I’ve done it. It’s HIDEOUS.

That is sharp for sure.
BFR's are strong and accurate revolvers.
For that much coin, I would likely be going with a Spohr.

I would love to be able to afford that.
If I had the money, I might even buy it.
