I've always been fascinated with the WW1 concept of aiming machine guns as artillery for long range area denial. Now the Wile E. Coyote that lives inside my head is thinking about mounting a .45-70 Gatling to a mortar plate with mortar sights.

I’m looking into a taller sight to help me get further. The one I have is only good for about 299 yards.
