I would weigh that vs the cost of everything. I could easily shoot 100rds / week if there was sufficient savings over factory to cover the cost of a basic press and dies in 6months

Of all places check Amazon and marketplace for your area. Beware online sales. Lots of scammed selling reloading supplies

FB marketplace is a pretty good place. Gunshops in the area might know someone selling out. I picked up a box with a single stage Lyman, 4 sets of dies a powder measure, scale, and a bunch of other stuff for one kid and a pretty similar box for another, I am pretty sure I dropped a hundred bucks each.I have 2 single and a turret mounted that I paid less then 100 total for.

LGSs usually have good deals, I picked up a Lyman turret press for $50 a few months ago. That said the Lee Anniversary Kit isn't a bad place to start and has the fastest payback. Lee is the VW of the reloading world and it will get you accurately from point A the point B. You can upgrade as your interest in the hobby grows. With a single stage press you can load about 100 rounds per hour compared to 400 rounds per hour for a progressive press. I set up my die and perform one step at a time for 500 rounds, then move to the next step. Priming can be done in your living room chair while watching your TV. Since I no longer have a man cave I use a hand tool while sitting in my recliner. I have to admit it's kind of cool.
