I’m of the opinion that good leather is just as important as a good gun. There is a lot of good leather out there.

This thing shoots! I had some issues with some handloads not working with the moon clips, but they worked without clips. It cut a ragged hole at 5 yards and I couldn’t seem to miss at 30 yards on steel! Dang I love this gun!

Think how much better it would work with Auto Rim ammo.

OK, enough about the pistol, what about the rifle? It was fun researching it. Mini Mauser, single set trigger, good wood. Manufactured for about 30 years but the Lyman scope comes from an eariler era. Did the last owner say I'm not selling it with my XXX scope on it or hey, I have a nice old scope that will work well on this one? It is a top quality scope for it's day, from 1961 to 1972 and still comands a good price.

What made you buy it? have you had a chace to shoot it? You owe us two range reports!

For inquiring minds with questions about the rifle. I’ve wanted a good 22 hornet for a long time. The micro action is just right for the hornet. The previous owner worked in a couple gin stores locally for over 40 years and that was his only hornet. For whatever reason he had crap scopes on most of his rifles, and would swap them out when they would go south. I’m sure this was the scope he intended to run on it. Oddly the previous owner, Steve, never bought a new scope ever he would just pull them off used rifles as they came in. He definitely came up with come interesting combinations. Dad owns a handful of CZ 527’s they all shoot really well. I’m really excited about this one. Renate report Wednesday hopefully.
