I have a map and can easily do a route to my most common destinations without flock cameras. Actually about the same distance.

I dont like them either. Neighbors were going to use a pool pole to put a trash bag over one nearby I haven’t been down that street to see if anyone did it

Coming soon to an employer near you. Alarm company my middle stepson works for just put an AI dashcam in his work truck. It tracks location, speed, how long your lunch is, if you smoke or vape, if you drink or eat while moving, how long you look away from the road, and how long your eyes are closed.

He won't drive it home anymore. Now they are going to lose time for him to drive from the office since his house is closer to most customers.

Hey! Don't forget about the new way "they" are going to figure your "road tax".

It's a ways out but States like WA (Seattle) realized that their zest for electric vehicles resulted in a lot of vehicles on the road that don't pay any tax at the pump. They have literally (I know the definition) been experimenting, with volunteer citizens, on schemes where they read your odometer during your annual registration visit. You pay for the miles you drove.

There is also a gadget they may require you to put in your vehicle so they can keep track of how many miles you drove and bill you that way. Of course the gadget lets them know where you've been and where you are.

What do we do about electric vehicles that tear up our roads and don't pay any tax at the pump?

I have heard of these taxes before but they hit business and the working poor the hardest. You have to have money to live in close proximity to a city if you work there. The cheapest housing is out of the berbs.

One major issue I have with Flock, is the CEO is a slimy P O S.

A good test would be for someone to look DEAD SQUARE at a flick camera, then cut it down.

See if they get arrested due to video evidence.

Scary thing is once your car/plate/other identifiable characteristics are queried from a single camera Flock brings up ALL of the cameras passed in their entire system (see map) with date/ time/ direction for possibly up to the previous 30 days.

Not only state / local governments can have Flock installed but private businesses, HOAs, schools, parks, parking lots, its endless.

Town up the road is looking at how to cancel their flock contract. The people spoke up to the city. The police chief and others are pissed off because flock updated its terms of service in an unfavorable way. Which to be fair isn’t limited to flock, all cloud based subscription services loooove to do that.

Here’s how this will work. Enough people will have enough, and cities will be forced to remove cameras. Or cameras will be vandalized faster than they can be fixed. Pole mounted Big Brother will become mostly irrelevant.
The future will be drones, which would be a federal offense to take out of the sky. Dash cameras will be integrated to the flock network, paid for by the sheeple who choose to participate in the surveillance state. And used by those who don’t choose, in the form of cams installed into company vehicles and big rigs.
Then the police will still have the same or more data points, but the city councils can say “we don’t have any cameras that the city is paying for on city property!” They will just lie by omission when they neglect to add “we just pay for the subscription to all of the other nationwide cameras.”

I just had a pretty profound thought. A lot of the flock cameras I see are BLATANTLY obvious. Stand out like balls on a bull. Aluminum poles, low to the ground. Almost…..like they are bait for people to destroy. See the camera and give it the middle finger as you drive by? If you think that’s not flagged by flock you are out of your mind. They may not do anything with it, but it’s flagged. Walk up to it and do something sketchy? You’re flagged.
Purposely getting people to destroy them, making it easy. I’d go as far as to say entrapment. Seems like a good strategy to make the case we need MORE.

They have had those on garbage trucks for a long time in Florida. The truck that picks up yard waste only has some kind of x-ray that they know if stuff besides grass weeds and sticks in it. My neighbor called saying they missed his pick up. They emailed him video from his neighbors showing no can at end of his driveway
