From Mexican ants. Duh.
Timely story, I’m at a buddies place doing redneck deer blind stuff. (Just wait, it’s IMPRESSIVE) His wife brings out some egg sammiches for breakfast. I start chowing down, and taste something slightly sweet. Hmmm. Wonder what this is? Finish one. Start on the next. Kinda creamy, considering the eggs are done. Mother **** it’s Miracle Whip! I HATE miracle whip. Only finished about half the second sammich. Weird that it wasn’t horribly objectionable till I knew that it was “supposed to be” horribly objectionable.

Nooooooooooooooooo.
Egg sammich needs egg and bread. And some cheese. Maybe some hot sauce. Satans load doesn’t belong on egg sammiches. Or any sammich.

Not weird, just human nature at its finest.
For years my daughter Danielle was absolutely convinced she’d never eat/like venison even though she loved hunting. I cut up a bunch of little medallion sized steaks from the loin of a big fat doe and made them look like little fillets. Seasoned them in my steak rub and let them sit in the fridge for a day.
My daughter came down late Saturday morning (the only day she could sleep in) starving and dad was at the grill in the kitchen cooking these with eggs for breakfast. I put the first one in front of her and she wolfed it down, then on the second she said “these taste different” and I told her I’d marinated them in wine. She happily ate 3 more and the I added, “Oh, and it venison.”.
She stopped with a bite halfway between plate and mouth, stared at the meat for a few seconds, gave me her best death stare, but then kept eating…

If you add ham, it’s a ham egg and cheese. But the superior meat on egg sammiches is sausage. But as I ponder, a chorizo patty would be pretty good also.

I knew you were alright. There's nothing in the culinary world that I detest more than mayonnaise in any derivative.

Pump the brakes. Two things.
1. Miracle Whip and Mayonaise can’t even be mentioned in the same sentence. Full stop. They aren’t the same. One is delicious, one is born of hell.
2. Mayo is delicious. Fight me.

Yeah I love me some BLT with heavy emphasis on the B! Can’t have that without good mayo!

Good mayo = ho-made mayo. Or Hellmans or Dukes. Kraft can piss off.
The problem with ho-made mayo is that it IS so good.

Dukes is great! Especially on ham sandwiches, sausage egg n cheese sandwiches, etc and also fabulous as homemade tartar sauce with diced hot peppers with a touch of the pepper juice.

I use dill relish for my tartar sauce. Beats the sweet.

Of course you can’t have ranch dressing without mayo. And ho-made ranch is amazing.

The only condiment intended for use on an egg sammich
Is yellow mustard.

This thread started out with eating insect eggs and I thought that was as low as it could go, but then someone mentioned Miracle Whip, and I realized how wrong I was.

It all depends on what I'm making, I like Miracle Whip, I also like good honey mustard and for the the right things hot chineese mustard is fantastic. A good dark mustard with braunscheigar, thin sliced onion on pumpernickle rye is close to heaven. That or good head cheese with pumpernickle or jewish rye and dark mustard but, I haven't seen head cheese for a while.
I make my wife's favorite breakfast almost every day, One fired egg, Canaidian Bacon (sometimes Hillbilly bacon), and long horn cheese on toasted sour dough bread. If I make one for myself I perfect it with Micacle whip and honey mustard. I usually prefer Rice Checks with blueberries and real milk or a mixed berry smoothie.
As for Chorizo, since moving to the east coast I haven't found any worth cooking so, I make my own. I also make my own marinara, I can't find a good one in a jar.
